Annual Flu Shot
Has anyone had a flu shot while taking peptides? If so, were there any side effects I should be on the lookout for?
5 likes • 5d
I have not taken it and don’t plan to. From what I know, these shots contain Inactivated or recombinant viral proteins. These are supposed to train your immune system to recognize and fight the flu. I always get sick when I take one. I think I’ll pass and just use TA-1 if I get sick.

@Alicia Sanders good call!
🚨 Are GLP-1s Getting Wiped Out in 2026?
Everyone's been asking me about Jay Campbell's recent podcast where he claimed GLP-1s are about to be completely shut down in the research and compounding space. His prediction? Eli Lilly is coming with lawsuits, Trump cut a deal, and by 2026 you won't be able to get sema or tirz anywhere except through prescription at their new "discounted" prices ($199-$299/month). Here's my issue: Jay spent half that podcast selling a $1,200/month follastin product. So when someone's pushing expensive products while saying affordable options of proven peptides are disappearing... 🤔 That said... Eli Lilly just hit a $1 TRILLION market cap. A monopoly on GLP-1s makes perfect business sense. And we saw what happened with SS-31—these shutdowns CAN happen fast. Speaking of SS-31, Ben and I covered that rapid shutdown in our podcast. If you want to see how quickly things can change in this space, check it out: 🎥 YouTube: https://youtu.be/oCjljZn2ZoU 🎧 Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/episode/5KkQvR4xvgYKD1hLG7vKV7 📝 Show Notes: https://open.substack.com/pub/beyondthevial/p/beyond-the-vial-episode-2-black-friday My take? I don't think it'll be as dramatic as Jay claims, but I also wouldn't completely ignore the warning. Should you stock up? Maybe. Should you panic? No. I break down the whole situation, the political angle, what this could mean for research vendors, and what you should actually do about it. Read the full article here: https://open.substack.com/pub/derekpruski/p/will-glp-1s-disappear-from-the-research?r=4jq1x8&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&showWelcomeOnShare=true ⚠️ Full disclosure: This is 100% my opinion and speculation. I don't have insider info. Just giving you my honest take based on what I'm seeing.

This would push people to the full gray market. Eli Lilly can’t stop that.

@Derek Pruski oh wow. Didn’t know that.
🍋 LEMON BOTTLE — The Facial Fat Dissolver or Snake Oil?
Let’s break down the hype vs. reality on this one. I’ve seen a LOT of questions about Lemon Bottle lately, so here’s my honest take with both perspectives. 🚫 First Things First: It’s NOT a Peptide Lemon Bottle is a Korean cosmetic fat-dissolving solution. It’s marketed as a safer, easier alternative to Kybella — but it does NOT have FDA approval and the clinical evidence is... thin. 🔬 THE INGREDIENTS — What’s Actually Inside 1. Bromelain (pineapple enzyme) - Breaks down proteins - Anti-inflammatory - May improve fluid drainage The reality: Bromelain does NOT destroy fat cells like deoxycholic acid. It mostly just reduces swelling and improves circulation. 2. Rutin (plant flavonoid) - Antioxidant - Strengthens capillaries - Reduces edema/puffiness The reality: No known fat-destroying mechanism. The “snatched” look people see? That’s temporary fluid reduction. 3. Lecithin / Phosphatidylcholine This is the only ingredient with any real fat-related action: - Emulsifies/destabilizes fat cell membranes - Promotes mild lipolysis - Creates local inflammation that contributes to breakdown The reality: The concentration is MUCH lower than actual lipolytic injectables like Kybella or PC/DC blends. That’s why results are weaker and require more sessions. ⚖️ BOTH SIDES OF THE ARGUMENT The Pro-Lemon Bottle Case: - Gentler than Kybella with less dramatic swelling - Faster recovery time - More affordable per session - Good for minor touch-ups and contouring - Works well for small stubborn areas in already-lean individuals - The “stacking” approach (multiple sessions) appeals to people who want gradual change - Lower barrier to entry for those nervous about more aggressive treatments The Skeptic’s Case: - No FDA approval - Limited clinical evidence - Results are often just temporary fluid loss, not true fat destruction - Requires multiple sessions to see anything meaningful - Heavily marketed with before/afters that may not tell the full story - The active ingredients at these concentrations aren’t proven fat dissolvers - You’re paying for what is essentially a mild inflammatory response + de-puffing

@Shawn Schorr nice! I was supposed to go but doing a family get together instead. This would be a huge win.
Peptide Storage
Looking for advice/recommendations. I have around 100 or so lyphonized peptides I want to store in the refrigerator. Would it be better to buy multiple small storage containers or one large one that would hold all of them? Just thinking if I could separate them buy categories or something, I wouldn't have to take the entire kit out and expose to temperature changes and light.

@Kimberly Snyder thanks. That makes a lot of sense.
🔬 SLU-PP-332: The "Exercise Mimetic" - But Lifestyle First
Deep Dive SLU-PP-332 - the compound everyone's calling an "exercise in a pill." The science is legit, but let me be clear upfront: This is NOT a replacement for actual training and lifestyle habits. What Is It? SLU-PP-332 is a synthetic compound that activates estrogen-related receptors (ERRs), particularly ERRα, which regulates mitochondrial biogenesis and energy metabolism. Despite the name, it has nothing to do with estrogen. How it works: It activates the same metabolic pathways triggered by endurance exercise - turning on genes for energy expenditure, fat metabolism, and cellular repair. The Research Results In obese mice treated for 28 days: gained 10x less fat, lost 12% body weight, increased fatty acid oxidation by 25% - all while eating the same and not exercising more . In normal-weight mice: ran 70% longer and 45% further than untreated mice. Additional benefits seen in studies: improved cardiac function, reduced inflammation in aging kidneys, and neuroprotective effects. Research Dosing (Research/Anecdotal) ⚠️ Important: SLU-PP-332 has not undergone human clinical trials. That said, here's what is being experimenting with: Lower Range: 250mcg - 1mg daily - Typical starting point - Subtle metabolic effects - Testing tolerance Moderate Range: 5-10mg daily - More noticeable effects reported - Common maintenance dose Mega Dosing: 20mg - 400mg daily - Extreme high end - All administered as oral capsules - Used by aggressive self-experimenters - Unknown safety profile at these doses Note: Research in mice used 50mg/kg twice daily (significantly higher relative dose than most humans are using). My Standpoint: Master The Basics FIRST Before even considering SLU-PP-332, you need these dialed in: ✅ Training: 4-6 days/week consistently (resistance + cardio) ✅ Nutrition: Whole foods, adequate protein, proper calories ✅ Sleep: 7-9 hours nightly ✅ Stress Management: Not chronically fried ✅ Consistency: 80%+ adherence for 6-12 months minimum

@Franco Castillo nice. Did you start low and titrate up? Any side effects on the way up?

@Franco Castillo ok cool. I am on 1mg 2x per day now. Have a tournament at 2:30 today and was considering taking 5mg capsule 60 mins prior. What do you think about that? Good idea, bad idea or just stick with my 2mg?
