Gents- Monday I was in a wool coat freezing and Friday I’m in Linen and sweating. What are your tips for navigating crazy swings in the weather?

@Carl Felix that’s a good plan

Dry cleaning??
Are there different types of places? Higher or lower quality? Are there places I shouldn't go? I've never had my suits cleaned but I need to.

I put the lowest number because I’m not trying to upgrade much at all- and the reason is because I’ve been pretty selective with what I buy. In that aspect, I’ve tried very hard to buy more quality and less quantity. I love using this analogy but as an active duty military guy who has spent a lot (probably too much) time in the field, I’ve recognized the importance of being able to sit somewhere that isn’t the ground. Everyone buys field chairs (basically a tactical colored camping chair) and carries it around. Some guys go cheap and get the little folding triangle ones but they usually don’t last long. Next thing you know, you’ve spent a bunch of money by burning through crummy field chairs. I spent the $$ and got a nice, light weight, strong fancy one. It is nice, so I took care of it. It’s lasted 8 years now. It has paid for itself multiple times. Save up, buy the nicest you can afford, learn to take care of it and you’ll limit what you have to upgrade!

As a Navy man, it is had to pick anything other than the Peacoat! I’m old enough to have been issued one in Bootcamp, it is authorized to wear with civilian clothes as long as it doesn’t have rank on it and it ALWAYS snags a compliment or two. By some miracle, I still fit into it.
