Notebook to connect with lakehouse dynamically
Current my notebook is connected with default lakehouse and I am able to do all operations. But I have a use case where I need my notebook to connect with any lakehouse dynamically using some configuration. Is this possible? How can I get it done?
Can't believe I passed DP-700 with just 4 days of preparation
I passed DP-700 a couple of weeks back just after 4 days of preparation from Will's DP-700 YouTube series and want to share the story behind it. I had the free exam voucher Thanks to the Microsoft Learn Challenge. Though I had enough time to prepare, procrastination won and I found myself 4-5 days before the exam date (after which, voucher would've been expired). I knew I couldn't prepare it given that I took months to prepare for DP-600 previously. But I Decided to give it a try and started watching Will's DP-700 Series. I couldn't complete it before the exam and decided to binge watch the last few videos on 2x speed on the exam day. Midway to the exam, I was pretty sure I'll be failing this one but kept pushing. Marked the ones that I wasn't sure about and reviewed them at the end of each session. AND GUESS WHAT ... I passed the exam!!! This shows just how accurate and beneficial Will's videos are. Can't Thank You enough!!! Love this Community and learning vibe!

Does Fabric shortcuts cost money?
I have a workspace called DataWS in which I have datalake and tables. I have another workspace called ReportsWS where I build Power BI reports. Now, what I do is I create shortcuts to DataWS from ReportsWS and then consume the data. I can also directly refer the tables in DataWS from my PowerBI report. But I use shortcuts as that’s how previous reports are created. 1. Is this a good approach? 2. Would this approach cost extra money? Please advise. Thanks in advance.
Concurrency Issue with multiple notebooks updating same table
Hello Team, I am in a need of running 10 to 15 notebooks every hour to sync the data. But the problem that I am facing is, when I scheduled for every one hour, it few notebooks fail with concurrency issue. And it is not the same notebook that fail every time, different notebook at different time interval. In all my execution, there is one common sync_log table in which every notebook will SELECT, INSERT and UPDATE records. Looks like, the concurrency error happens because of this. But I can't avoid this table as I am using this to maintain the synchronization log. Can someone help me with this? @Will Needham For your reference here is the error: Notebook execution failed at Notebook service with http status code - '200', please check the Run logs on Notebook, additional details - 'Error name - Py4JJavaError, Error value - An error occurred while calling o359.sql. : io.delta.exceptions.ConcurrentAppendException: Files were added to the root of the table by a concurrent update. Please try the operation again.

@Lukasz Obst Alright. Thank you. This helps. But the table which is accessed concurrently already exists in Lakehosue. Is there a way create partition on an existing lakehouse delta table?
