Does Fabric shortcuts cost money?

I have a workspace called DataWS in which I have datalake and tables.

I have another workspace called ReportsWS where I build Power BI reports.

Now, what I do is I create shortcuts to DataWS from ReportsWS and then consume the data.

I can also directly refer the tables in DataWS from my PowerBI report.

But I use shortcuts as that’s how previous reports are created.

Please advise. Thanks in advance.
