Are you collecting or accumulating
This video has had me thinking about this topic for days on end. He had me questioning the reasons behind every purchase I've made and about what I want to buy in the future. It's a long video but well worth the time. https://youtu.be/pMgE8QvmZNk?si=kjDrqBzX9AmMTKOb

Definitely more collecting than accumulating...
Dangerously close...
Back in March, I decided that an Erebus Titan Tiger's Eye would be my reward watch for losing 250 pounds. At the time, it felt like a distant future problem. When I put together the strap plan in April, I was around 353 lbs and figured I was probably looking at Black Friday before I had to seriously think about it. Today I saw 334.6 on the scale. Down 235.4 pounds... That puts me about 15 pounds from: • 250 pounds lost • 320 lbs • The Titan Needless to say, what started as a long-term reward and a fun planning exercise is rapidly becoming a logistics problem. 🤣 The Mad Titan should probably start feeling a little nervous.

$60 Custom Etsy Strap for the Purple Helix Ascent — Internet Gamble Paid Off
Took a gamble and it paid off. I’ve been trying to find the right strap for my purple Helix-dial Erebus Ascent, and it’s been weirdly difficult. Most purple options either look cheap, too loud, the wrong shade, or just completely miss the watch. Found an Etsy maker in Vietnam doing custom straps and decided to roll the dice on a ~$60 custom build. What showed up today? Honestly... kind of absurd for the money. - genuinely excellent finishing - soft leather right out of the box - zero uncomfortable edge bite - clean stitching - quality brushed hardware - quick-release spring bars - presentation that felt way above the price point And most importantly: the color absolutely works with the watch. This was one of those "internet gamble" purchases that could have gone completely sideways. Instead, I may have accidentally unlocked a dangerous new custom strap rabbit hole 😅 UPDATE: Here's the Etsy maker's link: https://www.etsy.com/shop/tlhandmadevn2103?ref=yr_purchases You can message him and spec out exactly what you want before ordering. He's EXTREMELY responsive.
