Thank you to everyone who joined the live call last night!
It was lovely to see new faces in the call, and to have a relaxed talk about your puppy and puppy dilemmas. Last night we discussed some 'is this normal' questions, or 'what should i do if...' questions, and even 'should I be allowing my dog to do this, will it become an issue...? Top question goes to Scrumpy's parents who asked if it's an issue for Scrumpy to lie on his dads head!πŸ˜† We also spoke about: - Chasing cats in the house and what we need to do about this - 'My dog is wild in the evening' questions - what to do if the pup wants to play, but it's evening, the kids are in bed and ignoring it escalates to barking It was also commented on how much it is a relief to see that 'im not alone with my crazy puppy' If you want to join a call to discuss your puppy, i'll be in here wednesday evenings at 8pm!

What skills are you currently working on with your dog?
I hope your dog training is going well! Are you currently focusing on a particular skill with your dog? Tell me what you've been working on this week!

Okay, so a sort of combination of this week's training challenge. Then I had to combine with luring because my dog learns he gets a treat for sitting and then doesn't want to walk 🫣
Dog Training Skills for Humans - Luring
Luring is one of those skills that will be used in so many different situations for you and your pup. - We use luring to start teaching basic skills like a sit or lie down - We can use luring to move your dog from a to b instead of using physical force - Use luring to move your dogs attention back on to you when you really need to. Take a look at this video - Feel free to show me your luring skills with your puppy by sharing a short video. It could be - - a video of your pup following your hand into a spin. - Moving your dog a few paces before getting the treat - Anything else you can think of (bonus points for creativity!)

I've given this a go but because Scrumpy is quite small he tends to jump up and try to nip my hand with food in to get it. Is there any way of stopping that other than walking quicker? πŸ˜‚
