lolol so the kraft mac & cheese is so popular in Canada that Canadian just call it kraft dinner. That's insane! I think boba is too common here in Taiwan. We can walk downstairs to get a cup of boba milk tea less than 5 minutes. No need to store a bucket of boba at home. In addition, I am very curious about the usage of 5 gallons of maple syrup...

@Jane Lin I treat TJ as a gift shop, not a grocery store. It's ideal to buy some fancy products with reasonable prices as souvenirs before returning to Taiwan.

@Shan Serasis Yes! People import various TJ merchandise to Taiwan and resell them on Shopee or Momo. The mini tote bag, which is $3 in the US, is NTD580 each here (and sold out). Also, I've heard Japanese love TJ tote bag too. Some people make a nick name for Trader Joe's as 缺德舅 bc people can't help but spend too much in the store lol.

兩個章節都讀完了非常簡短好讀。最近在考慮是否購入甫得到國際布克獎的Taiwan Travelogue。去年我的美國友人推薦給我，說讀起來不像翻譯的作品。感覺非常厲害

@Shan Serasis Then I'd like to recommend another book if I may. Ghost Town by Kevin Chen is one of the most outstanding Taiwanese novel I've ever seen. Very sad but beautiful. I haven't read Taiwan Travelogue, but so far Ghost Town is my fav Contemporary Taiwanese novel.
