This is a BUG in N8N. Can anyone try and share their experience.
Whenever you have a subworkflow (called from a tools agent) that in the last node returns data to the main workflow and you add a 'send and wait for respons' node in the sub workflow (gmail, or whatsapp or whatever) it will break the sub workflow as it will always return the output of the last node 'before the 'send and wait for respons' node instead of the actual last node with the data you really want to return. So setup a tools agent, setup a sub workflow that returns data. Try it, it will return that data. Then add a send and wait for response node in the middle of the sub workflow. Try it again. It will not return the data of the last node anymore. So this certainly seems like a BUG. I hope this is a known issue. Working with the latest version 1.98.1

@Shahab A Tx, will have to give Merge a try. So you mean after send and wait and after your final return node with the data you normally want to return. Really curious if that would work. Would be great though. Do you happen to have an example? Cause after the send and wait you can have multiple output scenarios right.. I think the reason you don't hear so much about it is that this bug is only an issue if you build more complex flows. But I do consider myself an advanced user as I self host on a dedicated machine where I have multiple docker containers talk to each other. I really appreciate your feedback!! Tx. By the way, totally different thing, I also wonder if there is a way to force the order of flows if you have for example one output that goes to 10 different inputs as if these 10 were 10 sub workflows but in this case they are not. With sub workflows I can define the order but within a workflow I can't. So if I wanted to add one in between 3 and 4 that won't work, it will do it last. Would be great if we could sort these in some way if you understand my case here. Check my small screenshot to see what I mean. The processes follow each other now from top to bottom. If I wanted to insert one in the middle I can't force the order. So I ended up splitting it up in 10 sub workflows but that makes it also less practical at times.

@Shahab A Tried a number of things but can't get the merge scenario to work. So the sub workflow always returns the send and wait input instead of the test 1 and test 2 output even with a merge like this. Is this what you meant?
n8n forgets GMAIL authentications after X days?
Hi folks, I am getting this error, that my workflows just stop running because authentications are outdated after X days… How can I solve this?

@Kumar Suru @Dom Jedro I can confirm this, had the same issue in the beginning.
n8n Self Hosting? Is anyone???
Hello AIS community, @Nate Herk , thank you for your Community and posts. I'm wondering how many of you are using a Docker container and running n8n locally. (I guess it's free). Please cast your votes. Thanks! Josh P.S. Details on Self-hosting below, (probably in the classroom somewhere) https://docs.n8n.io/hosting/?_gl=1*1h7dxdf*_gcl_aw*R0NMLjE3NDU0MjEwNTAuQ2p3S0NBanduNkxBQmhCU0Vpd0FzTkpyanBsbzg5WXhhY3Z1bWtjZnR6WjZiUHY1d0g5RnJvdXpkUEtNbnctLVptcUtOS0FSMG45UFRCb0NrREVRQXZEX0J3RQ..*_gcl_au*ODM2MzgxMDI4LjE3NDQ3NzEzMzQ.*_ga*MjA0OTQxNTI0OC4xNzQ1NTIwODE3*_ga_0SC4FF2FH9*MTc0NTYxNDA1NS4yLjAuMTc0NTYxNDA1NS42MC4wLjA

@Tony Mahony Did you checkout ngrok (it also has a docker image). Running everything locally without any limitation.

@Sandeep Patharkar I also use it with ngrok and no issues at all!
Self host n8n
Hello, everyone, I’m new to the community and n8n. Just wondering what is the best way or economical way to host n8n. The n8n site only gives 2 weeks trail. I see a few options, railway, render, digital ocean, which one are you guys using?

@Jason Zheng true, but once you have it setup and running it will give you total freedom. I used ngrok, there's a docker image as well for it.
