@Fred Larsen another name for it is occlusion training, if you google it you will get a much better explanation of it then I can give but I will tell you it absolutely works , I use it a lot especially when I have tennis elbow.
Reps
I’m a big proponent of mind muscle connection and strict form, what helps me out is making sure every set I do takes at least 45-55 seconds. Time under tension is very important.
Training to failure
I’m very curious on everyone’s thoughts regarding training to momentary failure, or close to it. And I’m only referring to failure on the concentric part of a set.

I try to train to failure or near failure on every set, I only do 2 sets per exercise and 3 exercises per muscle and I do each muscle twice a week, works great for me.
Still Training Like You're 25?
Most men over 40 are training like they're 25. Same ego. Same heavy loads. Same joints paying the price. The shift isn't about doing less. It's about training smarter than you ever have. Higher reps. Full control. Every rep deliberate. That's not backing off. That's upgrading your standard. A few of you are already inside the premium program, working through a training program built specifically for you. What's one thing you've changed about how you train since 40? Drop it below. 👇

I work each body part twice a week, very body part gets 12 sets a week, 6 per workout. Each set is done to near failure, 1-2 RIR, 12 to 15 reps and I do an Antagonistic split. I’m 68 years young.
Arms
Second time through, hit arms today and got a great workout and elbows do not hurt at all so good news.
