In a group talk I shared how as an autistic person too much information can be overwhelming in everyday life. Once grief is added the information reaches high levels and everything is a mish mash. I'm not sure if it resonates with people who aren't. I have words circling in my head constantly and some from years ago. https://share.google/kEcWP0rzbz0CSmJgb
@Tracy L it's really tough. I'm sorry for your pain. I specialize in Autism. What you were doing all these years is "masking" when trying to fit in and take on other personalities. It's extremely common in Autism. As well as the meltdowns from overwhelm. One step at a time. One day at a time. I think Autism in adults is highly over looked and if you don't fit into what society deems "autistic" it can be really frustrating to be seen and given grace.
@Tracy L I don't currently work with adults, but I have worked with young adults in the past. I have 20 years experience working with children to young adults with Autism as a Special Education teacher, in home support, and job training. I'm happy to listen and offer any support I can.
