In 2013 I went to Nicaragua with a group of women to host a Fast pitch clinic and mini tournament. We donated equipment and brought some knowledgeable instructors (we also held a breast cancer awareness clinic). It was the most rewarding experience ever! If you get an opportunity to do something like that, jump on it!

You made it—welcome to the Pack Baseball & Softball Academy online community! Whether you’re here to level up your game, grow as a coach, or just hang out with fellow baseball and softball fanatics, you’re officially part of the family now. We believe in high-fives, hustle, and helping each other get better every day. This is your space to ask questions, share your wins (big or small), and learn from the best—on and off the field. Welcome to the Pack, coach — quick roll call. Drop 3 quick bullets so we can get you plugged in: - City/State: - Who you coach: (age + baseball/softball) - Your #1 challenge right now: (hitting / pitching / practice plans / parents / culture / recruiting) I’ll reply with one resource or idea for your challenge — and I’m sure other coaches will jump in too.

Hi Everyone ! My name is Jen and I have been coaching softball for 12 years starting as a parent coach. I am currently the varsity head softball coach at Amity HS in Oregon. I am the founder / head coach of Battitudes NW club softball and a certified CUDIT hitting coach. I believe there is always something to learn. I am currently looking for ways to help my players be mentally tough on and off the field. I look forward to connecting with this group and learning new (& old) training methods!

@Jason Taylor thank you and Yes! I would love a copy!!!! My girls really struggle at the plate. They are generally really good hitters, but get intimidated by smart pitchers. Any specific tools that you use to help stay strong at the plate? I try to get them to use visualization in the batters circle and also watch for the pitch they want to hit. The mental aspect of coaching this particular group of girls has been challenging!
