Hey new friends! My name is Jen Barker. I'm the Next Generation Pastor at Vortex Church in a smaller town outside of Charlotte, NC. I married my high school boyfriend, and we have three boys ages 13, 11, and 8 years old. I was a realtor for the first ten years of professional life and have been a homeschool mom/3rd grade teacher/church staffer for the last thirteen years. I served on the guest experience side of church for eleven of those years and recently stepped over to leading in our kids ministry and advising in our student ministry. I have a passion and conviction to see the next generation know and love Jesus and a cheerleader for parents in their journey of discipling their kids. I'm looking forward to this co-hort to share ideas and build community.
