A friendly reminder to check your subscriptions🙃
There are plenty of good tools out there to check your subscriptions and see what you're paying for each month. There are pros and cons of linking your bank to some of these apps, specifically when it comes to the security of your data, but these days everyone pretty much has all of your data anyway, so make of that what you will 😅 Recently, I did an audit of my Godaddy.com accounts, I have a few websites, only one of which is active right now, but one thing I didn't realize is that I've been paying for an email address for one of the sites that is currently not active 🫠 Now, it's only $10/month, but that's $120/year -- and this is the problem with subscriptions. We think, "Oh, it's only $xx.xx/month" but when you start to have multiple small subscriptions you are paying for each month, that starts to add up! In fact, recent research has shown that the average American is paying nearly $1,000/year in subscriptions! A few questions for you: - Do you know how many subscriptions you have? - How much are you spending per year? - Do you use an app to track your subscriptions? - Are there any subscriptions you could cancel today? Let's discuss!

Happy Monday & Welcome to the New Members!
Hi all, All right, 2026 is in full swing and I am feeling excited about what's to come this year. I'm working on some changes in the Classroom and how this group is going to operate, but more on that soon! The new budgeting tool that I'm rolling out will be done (hopefully) this week -- you fine folks will be my guinea pigs for this new tool, and come February we will work through our budgets together! I want to give a warm welcome to all the newbies -- @Oscar Setiawan (who is a fellow Real Estate Investor and has an AWESOME space in Chicago), @Julia Mckie-Blair @Daniel Williams @Carrie Postumw @Giana Sabatino @Lisa Wolf Finally, I can't tell you how excited I am to have @Steve Gast be in this group! This guy is a legend when it comes to VSL (video sales letters) and I've had the pleasure of hanging out with him in person multiple times. He is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to mastering being on camera and his group is totally worth joining for the camaraderie alone: https://www.skool.com/authoritycam/about?ref=32b0b96b60084c30b1d99f8dc941ae52 Newbies, please check out The Classroom and make sure to write a welcome post so we can learn more about you! So excited to have you all here -- let's ROCK 2026!

Allow Myself To Introduce Myself
Hi I’m Steve from Chicago! I help people create VSLs (video sales letters) to sell their courses and grow their Skool communities I joined Everyday Rockstars to gain a budgeting strategy and financial plan for myself, my mom and sister. Also because @MJ Berst is the very best! She has helped me host Skool IRL Chicago events and now we are getting her Milwaukee events rolling. 2026 is going to be a blast! When I’m not Skooling I like to rollerblade, paddleboard and go on random adventures all over the country. Last year was a hot air balloon, so what should I do next?

🎉 Happy New Year 🎊
As we head into a new year, I want to be honest for a moment. I’m walking through some pretty heavy, ongoing personal stuff right now. The kind that doesn’t wrap up neatly or resolve on a timeline. I’ll share more on that soon, but for now, just know that life is doing what life does… stretching, testing, refining. That said, here’s what I do know. I hope 2026 brings you peace, growth, clarity, and prosperity in whatever form you’re chasing it. I don’t really do New Year’s resolutions. I’ve never been big on arbitrary promises made after champagne. But I do believe in setting intentional goals and showing up for them every day, even when it’s messy or inconvenient. So here’s to progress over perfection. Direction over pressure. Momentum over motivation. What are you hoping to accomplish this year personally, professionally, financially, creatively? I’d love to hear what you’re working toward!

@MJ Berst sorry for your current challenges, that's no fun. My goals for this year: 1. Make closer, personal connections with the people that matter to me most. 2. Be more patient with everybody. 3. Kill anything in my business that doesn't help me grow and move forward. 4. Add $100K of new, extra income. My daughter starts college in the fall. 5. Develop a financial plan that will help me manage the extra $100k.
