Saturday, I played 20 games of pickleball. I probably lost 7 lbs of water weight. But gained it back after eating 4 chicken burritos, 2 raspberry Krispy Kreme doughnuts, 1 carrot cake muffin with crΓ¨me cheese frosting and 2 cans of a&w root beer which they provided after the tournament. (My 2nd cheat day this week) I played 8 games from 9A-12AP in my regular ladder league. Went 4-4. The director ask if I could fill in the round robin tournament from 12-4:30. Like a dummy I said yes. Went 6-6. Lost last 2 games because I was exhausted. Otherwise I would have had a winning record if I won just one more time. Compiled a 10-10 record in 7.5 hours. Not bad for an old, overweight soon to be 55 year old with osteoarthritis in both my knees. Didn’t take a pic of the results for the morning league. But you can check my DUPR if you think I’m lying lol Although I am falling behind, don’t count me out of the running just yet. I’ll ramp it up after these 2 days of rest.

It's My Birthday! No Cake Please!
Hi Team! Today is my 58th birthday. I am going to pass on the cake and have a fruit and veggie tray at my birthday celebration. I will get to celebrate at league this evening, what better way! I ws born in 1968 so I am shooting for 19,680 steps today. What are your goals for today? Hanging with ALW last July!

Suppliments and Medication
Hi everyone! Let us think about the vitamins and minerals we take as we proceed. Like me, I take a multivitamin, my High BP maintenance, and D3 every day. I have recently learned how cod liver oil, creatine, and magnesium is also very essential for health. Can we ask for expert opinion about these as we continue playing Pickleball? Also, preparation and recover protocols before and after playing might also help. Like what to take before playing, and what to replenish after playing. I am assuming our heart, lungs, and kidneys (not to mention the leg and arm muscles) all get worked up everytime we play hard. Thanks!

@Jason Hewett wow Jason! Some of the items you listed, i do not know and have never heard of. Thanks for sharing. Can you tell more of the effects they have to your body, you can also mention how long you play.

Paddle tap! I'm Jec Dan from Iloilo, Philippines. πŸ‡΅πŸ‡­ I've been playing Pickleball for 3 years now since it was introduced in my city. I am also a certified coach, trained referee, and club president. I want to drop 18-20lbs or 10kilos in the next 60days and address my pre-diabetic symptoms. I say pre-diabetic coz i havent been officially diagnosed yet. Fun fact, I have a degree in Medical Technology, I am also a Christian Baptist Pastor. I like to play Pickleball for peace as a nonviolent form of conflict transformation.
