Hi everyone, I just noticed that I didn't present myself. So my name is Jeanne, I live in Germany and I work in the field of data science, especially with Fabric. I just finished my studies and I am new in this field that is why I joined this community :) I already did a post here and I recieved great advice that solved my problem, so I am very grateful to have the oppurtunity to learn so much through this community!
Deployments rules for data pipelines
Hello everyone! I have a question regarding the deployments rules of data pipelines in fabric. I have a data pipeline that copy tables from an azure sql server database and transforms it. I would like to create a deployment rule for my test stage in order to use another database, however this option doesnt seem available. Does anyone know if it is possible?

Hi Will! Thanks for your quick answer! I get the idea of doing that by checking the workspace ID with a switch activity but I dont understand how to link the corresponding lakehouse or warehouse of the corresponding workspace. My pipeline constists of three steps: first, it copies data from my azure sql database into my lakehouse (via copy data). Then it creates new tables in my lakehouse via a notebook, and finally copies these tables (with small transformations) via stored procedures in my warehouse. If I understand you right, I should use the switch activity to check the workspace ID, and then "copy/paste" the copy activity and change the azure sql database server according to the workspace ID manually (since It cannot be parametrized). Since the rest is running through internal data stores, it can be parametrized. But I dont get how to do that. For example, when I set my variables (as pipeline return value) such as my Lakehouse ID and my Lakehouse Connection String, and try to append for example, a Notebook after the switch statement as a dynamic content. I dont know how to link my notebook to the right lakehouse. I also get the same Problem when I try to access the procedures defined in the corresponding warehouses. However, thank you for your help, I appreciate it!

@Will Needham Thank you for your flowchart. I believe I understand the concept but I dont know how to link for example my Notebook to the right Lakehouse. The notebook is located in my Dev Workspace and thus, is automatically linked to my Dev lakehouse.I defined my environments variables for each switch case, but I dont know how to use these variables in my notebook. Thank you so much for your help!
