Hi everyone, I'm currently working on some sci-fi trailer music and I'm struggling to find the right chord progressions to evoke that futuristic, tense, and atmospheric feel. Somehow, my compositions always end up sounding either too heroic or too melodic, drifting away from the vibe I'm aiming for. I’d really appreciate any advice or examples you might have on: - Chord progressions and scales that work well for sci-fi or cyberpunk trailers. - How to create tension and a sense of space or mystery without leaning too heavily into melody. - Any tricks for getting that synthetic yet cinematic atmosphere through harmony.
