Feel like you should have been cited...
I just saw an article that was just published. It was very close to an article we published over 10 years ago, in my opinion, yet we were not cited. There are so many papers out there, some can be missed. I can understand that. What would you do? For the science of it all, I feel like I should at least reach out to the authors and let them know so that any future research they do in that area can be thought of in full context of our findings too. Or maybe a LinkedIn post, gives more visibility to our prior work in the context of theirs. A letter to the editor is probably not right, since the study itself/methods, etc. was solid. As an academic, seeing a study missed that was so close/related just feels like the reader of the newer paper is missing out too. And for science to progress quicker, it would be better to know what had been done before. Or do nothing at all. So many other things to do anyway. Just curious to know the community thoughts. Thank you.

@Dawid Hanak Thank you for that comment. Very helpful.
What’s your core research area?
Many of you are here to network but we don’t often know who is doing what - let’s change this: In a few words, please explain what is your core research area. Enjoy!

Vision perception research: primarily visual acuity and clinical color vision (basic human abilities along with clinical patient based outcome measures).

Canva mini-training + Community update
Glad to see you today. I will continue with the community updates every 2 weeks, but we may move to a pre-recorded format given the low attendance. Hope this helps! If you have any questions, feel free to message me.

Thank you for the mini-training. Yes, time zone is a barrier for me. Also, its seems like only K-12 educators can get the better Canva pro type of access. Regardless, I have been able to make things even in the basic version that would have been much, much harder with other tools.
New collaboration coming - AnswerThis for literature reviews
I've recently been approached by AnswerThis.io founders to test their updated AI-based literature review tools. I usually prefer to write my own literature reviews without AI support, as I learn more and gain unique insights when I do it myself. However, with the sheer volume of articles being published these days and tighter deadlines, I see how such tools can become increasingly valuable. I'll be testing this over the next few days and will share my thoughts with the community soon. However, there are a few exciting activities that I'm currently discussing with the AnswerThis team: 1. You can get a good-value annual plan via my affiliate link here: https://answerthis.io/?ref=drhanak 2. We're planning an exclusive workshop just for this community P.S. Let me know if such partnerships and collaborations are helpful!

Yes, this would be useful! Hearing how you used it/liked it...having a workshop to see it in action, etc.
