A little action every day! you got this!
Morning Affirmation 10/1/26
I just completed my second straight week of a 24+ hour fast (about 33 hours). I broke it with a banana this morning. Today I'm going to continue the Athletic training template and hit some push and squat movements. I'm grateful to God for giving me this healthy body that can do incredible things and has a great capacity to withstand stress. I pray for a sound mind and a focus on what truly matters in this season 🙏🏻 "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and love and of a sound mind" - 2 Timothy 1:7
Solid workout tonight
I am noticing how much better I feel after I do a hard workout like I did tonight. It wasn't all perfect but I'm trying to push my limits such as with the overhead press and also have a goal to master toes to bar (this is currently messy) as well as muscle ups which I'm learning from another trainer I work with.

@Jordan Jonas No they are generally not the last thing I do, I am up for another few hours after and usually eat after training as well. My sleep is usually fine, not many issues there except on occasion. My schedule varies for workouts, I found that first thing in the morning they felt less effective for me, I've grown to like doing later workouts, so the majority of them are in the afternoon or evening time, but some are in the morning. What are your thoughts?
New Fitness Goal
I realized in my intro post last week that I didn't name a specific fitness goal. My goals are two pronged: - First I have an action goal to follow Phil's Athlete Training Program through the end of the year. I want to observe the physical and mental changes that take place as a result of sticking to a very regimented plan such as this - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSHq-MzvMyY - Something more tangible, I want to be able to do one muscle up by January 31st, 2027 and also a good toe to bar for 5 reps. I am now working with a trainer at my training job whose been teaching me the technique around these. Excited for this new season of growth and positive change.
No more excuses!
Took the last week off just to rest my body, clear my mind and to figure out my program I want to follow. Starting tomorrow Monday September 28 I’m going to be 100% committed to my fitness goals! Just turned 34 and 306 pounds with a 2 year old who needs me more than anything I have to get after it, no more excuses.
