Jane here. My wandering is mostly by bicycle (which fits in my car, when necessary). My city is FULL of very old winding alleys suitable for bikes. Our massive mountains are full of paths and non-paths, for the adventurous.

@Kate Boelhauf thanks! Appreciate the seaweed resonance! Taiwan and I clearly are a match, though there's no definite rational reason. It's simply uncontestable. Where in Taiwan is your friend from?

"Bad" ? I can't help sharing my confusion and surprise reading this ... and then my own inner story. Maybe the feeling is how your system gets your attention. Maybe you suddenly realized its a good time to find out, and your brain wants to add a little pizzazz as a motivator to encourage you to act. I like to judge reality by results! Stories are just stories. ~ if seaweeds could talk 👄 In which case it's easily also labeled "good." Both. Nice paradox!
🌿 The Nature Connection Pyramid: Why It Matters
We all know spending time outdoors feels good — but did you know how often you get outside matters just as much as where you go? That’s the idea behind the Nature Connection Pyramid. It’s a simple framework that shows us how to build a healthy relationship with the natural world: - Daily: Step outside nearby — a walk through your neighborhood, sitting under a tree, tending a garden. - Weekly: Go a little deeper — local parks, rivers, or trails that reset your week. - Monthly: Stretch yourself — regional adventures like camping, kayaking, or a day in the forest. - Annually / Bi-Annually: Big wilderness trips that reconnect you to something larger than yourself. Just like healthy eating or exercise, stacking these layers creates balance and resilience. Daily moments of nature keep us grounded, while those big adventures recharge us on a deeper level. 👉 Over the next few weeks, we’ll dive into each layer of the pyramid together — with challenges, reflections, and ways to bring more wildness into your life. For now, I’d love to hear from you: What’s one way you connect with nature daily?

Daily nature connection: I'm a bicyclist. It opens all sorts of daily adventures and around me is plenty of human and other nature ... instantly I think of the tree-filled road near my house i road through 2 days ago. Im rarely rushed, which means I can pop into alleys or parks that draw my interest.
