Lately I’ve been trying really hard to notice the parts of myself that keep me small.The overthinking.The emotional reacting.The fear of getting things wrong.The waiting until I feel “ready”. 🫠🫠🫠 And honestly? I still struggle with all of it. 🙈 But I’m starting to realise that growth rarely feels comfortable while it’s happening.It’s a bit like shedding old skin. Old habits. Old beliefs about who we are and what we deserve.💜 Sometimes we think everyone else has it figured out, but I reckon most of us are quietly trying to unlearn things while learning new ways to be at the very same time.🙈 Maybe progress isn’t becoming somebody completely different.Maybe it’s gently returning to ourselves underneath all the noise. So if you’re in a season of feeling uncomfortable, stretched, emotional or uncertain… maybe that doesn’t mean you’re failing.Maybe it means something inside you is shifting. 🌿 And we’re all doing it together in one way or another.Small steps. Small noticing. Small brave moments.A smidgen at a time. 🤎 You guys are Awesome by the way ! 😍🙏🏼

Every so often I get everything out…glue, paint, crayons, pencils, scraps of paper even the fineliners for good measure ! And then I just let go. 🧑‍🎨 No plan, no pressure… just whatever is in my head finding its way out. It usually looks like a bomb’s gone off —and to be fair… it kind of has 😅 But in that ahhhh… I needed that kind of way. I think we can do this in so many parts of our lives. Writing is a big one just line after line, whatever comes out.No editing, no judging. Because while you’re ‘purging’ it all out…your brain is quietly making sense of things in the background. 🧠❤️ So I guess what I’m saying is go for it. I think my current sketchbook shows what I am trying to say 🥰 Let it be messy.Let it be imperfect. You might just surprise yourself 🤍

I’ve always had a bit of a love affair with paper 🙈 Some people collect shoes, books or ornaments… I collect paper. Handmade paper, textured paper, old paper, papers with stories tucked inside their fibres. There’s something quietly magical about taking what has been discarded 🥰 scraps, petals, leaves, old bits once forgotten. mulching it all down and turning it into something new. Soft pulp, water, patience, a sieve… and suddenly there it is. A fresh sheet, completely unique and full of character. 🙌🏻💗 I think that’s why I love the process so much. It reminds me that beautiful things can be made from what was once overlooked. Some pieces have delicate flowers resting inside , held forever in their new home.
