My sketch 🇫🇷⚜️
So after a wander in these beautiful streets I settled my gaze here and created this sketch 🙌🏻 I need to decide if I will add colour and how 🤔 Suggestions welcome !
My sketch 🇫🇷⚜️
Our 2nd destination !
This Week’s Travel Stop is Bordeaux, France 🇫🇷 ✨ I’m extra excited about this one because I’ve actually been here ! I visited Bordeaux last year, and it completely stole my heart. The light, the stone buildings, the rhythm of the streets, the little details you only notice when you slow down… it’s such a beautiful place to wander with curious eyes. Over the week, I’ll be doing my own sketching from this location and I’ll share my results with you as I go. France has such a special place in my heart, and I can’t wait to reconnect with it through drawing ✏️💙 🌍 Ways you can join in this week: There’s no right or wrong way just choose what feels good. - ✏️ Sketch directly from Street View - 🎨 Paint or collage inspired by shapes, colours, or textures - 🖊️ Doodle small details doors, windows, signs, shadows - 📝 Journal about how the place makes you feel - 👀 Simply observe and notice (that counts too) You don’t need to “finish” anything. This is about exploration, not perfection. 📖 A little future dream… 💭🤔 As we move through Around the World in 80 Sketches, I’m starting to imagine what it might look like as a book, a proper coffee-table style collection of our travels. And yes… I would absolutely love to feature some of you amazing creators in it 💛 Nothing formal yet just a seed being gently planted. 🌱 For now, grab your pencils, take a slow wander through Bordeaux, and see what calls to you. I can’t wait to see where this place takes us ✨ Click below and go for a wander 💜 https://maps.apple/p/UNH6Zvantz-QAN

✨ Around the World in 80 Sketches – Instalment 2! ✨
This one feels extra exciting because… we’re going abroad! 🌍✈️ Well abroad for me anyway 😄 Tomorrow’s coordinates will take us somewhere beyond the UK, and the best bit is… I have absolutely no idea where we’re going either until the moment I drop them. Same surprise. Same curiosity. Same sense of adventure. ✈️ I love that we’re all stepping into this one together pencils ready, expectations gently left at the door, and a whole new place waiting to be noticed, explored, and interpreted in our own way.🫶🏻 🌍 If you’re new here, here’s what Around the World in 80 Sketches is all about: Each week, I share a set of mystery coordinates. You pop them into Google Maps, head to Street View, and take a wander noticing shapes, buildings, textures, light, shadows, or tiny details that catch your eye. Then you create your version of that place. Sketch it. Paint it. Collage it. Doodle it. There’s no right or wrong just curiosity, creativity, and showing up. It’s about travelling without travelling, exploring without pressure, and reminding ourselves that creativity can take us anywhere. So… passports at the ready 🗺️ Tomorrow, we’re off ✨

🌍✏️ Around the World in 80 Sketches ✏️🌍
You’ve heard of Around the World in 80 Days most famously brought to life by Around the World in 80 Days with Micheal Palin, one of my great loves. Travel has always lit something up in me. New places, new colours, new ways of seeing. I try to travel as much as I can… but let’s be honest, travel is expensive. 😭😭😭 So this idea has been quietly growing for a long time. How can we explore the world without actually going anywhere? ✨ And that’s how “Around the World in 80 Sketches” was born. Every Wednesday, I’ll drop a new set of coordinates here in the community. Your mission is simple and playful:🤪 - Open Google Maps - Pop the coordinates in - Switch to Street View - Wander around - Notice what catches your eye - And sketch from what you see Because we all create differently, I’m so excited to see the results no two sketches will ever look the same, and that’s the magic.✨ Ways you can take part There’s no right or wrong here. You might: - Do a quick line sketch - Focus on architecture, people, plants or details - Use pen, pencil, paint, collage or digital - Write a few words or observations alongside your drawing - Spend 5 minutes or an hour — it all counts And if you’re thinking “but I can’t draw”… This is your gentle invitation to challenge that thought. Drawing isn’t about being good, it’s about looking. Showing up. Trying. I’ve been working on this idea for a long time, and now that we’re a community, it finally feels right to share it. Exploring together feels so much richer than doing it alone. So… 🌍 Grab your passports ✏️ Your pencils 📄 Your paper And let’s go exploring the world one sketch at a time. I can’t wait to see where we land first 💛

Week One let’s go ! 🎉🎉🎉
Follow the link below which will take you to Google Maps, switch to Street View… and have a wander. You’ll find yourself near the beautiful coastline around Whitsand Bay in South Cornwall with dramatic cliffs, winding roads, sea stretching out forever. On a clear day the light is just magic. ✨ ✏️ What to look for - The curve of the coastline - Clifftop grasses moving in the wind - Texture in the rock faces - Tiny details like fences, signs, pathways - The horizon line where sea meets sky Remember you don’t have to stay in the exact spot you’ve landed in go and have a stroll ❤️ You could: - Do a loose 5 minute line sketch - Focus just on the shapes of the cliffs - Study the tones of sea and sky - Zoom right in and draw a single detail - You could write a poem about how it makes you feel. - Write a small piece of music if that’s your jam. And remember… It doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to be yours. Starting local to me feels grounding. Before we hop across oceans, I want to honour my own shoreline first. I am so excited for you to go exploring ! The pics below are my interpretations of this place and I’ve done a few so you can see the variety. Passports ready? See you in Street View 🌍✏️ https://maps.app.goo.gl/RHBmhxcchFKywsn39?g_st=ic
