I wanna take this one step further and show how I typically handle state in my components and also using state in child components, handling their value updates above without using Redux etc. 99% of the time in all of my codebases you will find a state object named State in each component where state is needed, and I never destructure props. In my opinion this makes the entire codebase cohesive. Once the state gets sent down a few levels then I change the logic to fetch the values at that level instead or consider a global store.
Good Monday Morning PAPAFAM!

Day 2 of COVID for me, so just reading a lot of articles inbetween resting to keep energy levels up!
Portfolio Finished! Finally!
I've been drowning in code recently, working so hard to finish my portfolio, and barring a few little bugs to squash (mostly on smaller screens), I am finally there. You can find it at scottmartinwebdevelopment.com Z2FSH and this community has helped a huge amount, so just a massive shoutout to the best community of devs in the world. Please check out my portfolio, play with the projects a bit, try and break things and let me know what you think. I'll keep trying to clean up the code over the coming weeks, sorting my LinkedIn profile out and start the job hunt. Exciting times!

Looks brilliant! A few small things from me: 1. Lots of colour, maybe too much. I am getting distracted by it - Try to keep to a defined colour palette and potentially desaturate screenshot images such as the one for "Flash Fluent" so it does not distract. 2. Your "About Me" font is very small, and its a LOT of text - Maybe increase font size and reduce the section to more of a summary, or a read more link to display extra text. 3. Icon click handlers should be the containing box since you have a focus css style on them. (Dark Mode, LinkedIn, GitHub, etc) 4. Is there much point to repeat the LI/GH icons at the bottom since you have them static on the right side? PS. I love the drag and drop tech stack descriptions!
