Whats your 10/10 fragrance?
Ok, I searched the posts and hadn't seen one of these for quite some time, so I apologize if I missed one. I'd like to hear what our current 10/10 fragrances are. I know our noses change over time, and we are always making new discoveries, so let's hear it. What are your holy grails?

@Jeff Beason yeah, Safari is definitely a case where the fragrance and bottle design are both top notch.

@Richard Weinberg it’s a really nice smooth and rich fragrance. Such a good one.
Preference and Acceptable Behavior..
Selective: Most members prefer to interact selectively, commenting on posts that genuinely interest them or resonate with their specific fragrance experiences. This approach allows for meaningful engagement without the pressure of engaging with every single post. Engaged: Some individuals aim for high engagement, liking and commenting frequently across many posts to foster a friendly, active community atmosphere. Casual: Many prefer a more passive approach, casually reading posts ("sliding through") and only offering a "like" or a brief comment when they have something specific to add, like agreeing with a scent review or asking a quick question. Do you feel obligated to like or comment on everything? Do you prefer meaningful comments? Do you appreciate someone taking time out to write brief comments like "love that scent"? Do you consider sliding through posts without liking or commenting (lurking) behavior rude? Is commenting specifically on the posts of people you know or whose taste you resonate with acceptable? Does this create subgroups? Share you thoughts gents..

I try to be engaged.
FIRST TIME TRYING GUERLAIN
so, i finally decided to take advantage of living near the strip, and came to the Bellagio with my friend (potential girlfriend idk but cautiously hopeful), to observe a Christmas exhibit they had put up. AND my eyes caught to a Guerlain shop! i’ve been really wanting to try their stuff, so after some pictures at the exhibit, i went in to go try it out. the sales lady was way nice, and after some small talk, she had me sample the L'Art & La Matière collection. Now i picked up some niche samples before, but they were more crowd pleasing entryway niche scents, like PDM Layton and Lafayette Street. I love Layton, but i wasn’t super blown away by Lafayette Street. Not bad but too airy and musky for the price. If i spend a lot of money on a scent, i want people to know i did. Needless to say, i’m a big fan of Guerlain now! Here’s an in depth review of the scents i tried out: Angèlique Noire- Minus the fact that it shares a similar name with my psychotic ex’s older sister, this scent is pretty good! Very rosy and floral, and while you can only guess the notes in it, i’m picking up some vanilla, jasmine, rose, and pink pepper. Moschino Toy Boy kind of gave me a negative opinion on rose scents, but this is good. Just a bit too too florally for my taste, but way good. 6.5/10 Fève Gourmande- Now THIS is edible smelling. Boozy, chocolatey, spicy and smoky with a great rose note, this one definitely would pull compliments. Exceptionally well blended but just a bit too sweet for my taste. Love it, but that’s my one quip. 7/10 Spiriteuse Double Vanille Very sweet but not as gourmand as Fève. Great vanilla and boozy notes, i actually like this a lot. Concentrated and intensely strong, and a great rum-esque note that compliments the vanilla very well. Reminds me a lot of Vanilla Diorama from Dior, very sexy. 7.999999999999>/10 Cherry Oud- probably my least favorite out of this line. Not bad by any means but not really my favorite. the cherry note is a bit sharp, and reminds me a bit of bathroom hand soap. Also not enough oud, so that was a bit of a letdown :(

My favorite Guerlains are the older ones: Vetiver, Habit Rouge, Imperiale, Jicky, Shalimar.
What was your first empty bottle?
I mostly buy 100mls and rotate pretty heavily through my little collection, so it’s going to take a while to get through a whole bottle for the first time. The biggest dent is in my Prada Luna Rossa Ocean EDT, which was one of my first bottle purchases and is something I absolutely love (easily in my top 5 all time scents) and reach for pretty much whenever I can’t decide what else to wear (or on some days, that’s exactly what I want to wear!). So if I were a betting man, that will be my first empty bottle someday. What was yours? Did you replace it?

My first designer fragrance empty bottle was Polo green. Before that I used up bottles of Old Spice, English Leather, and Brut.
Vetiver(vintage) by Guerlain
Quick grab and go today with my oldest bottle that I got somewhen around 1988. Love this old school vetiver that sadly was discontinued. Want to get my nose on the new reformulation tomorrow and see what difference I note. Btw two compliments out of the blue today with the linear wonderful old man.

I love reading, writing, men's style and grooming. Pocket knives, fragrances, and watches are some of my biggest hobbies.
