Today I wore my 1980's Ricoh Riquartz day/date. Whilst known for copiers Ricoh were one of the first to design quartz watches. Ref :580508 means movement number 580, case type 508. The Riquartz movement cal.580 has 5 jewels, frequency 32768 Hz with day-date function. I particularly like the Breguet style numerals.

Now i go back and forth on the invicta pro diver. On one hand it’s a good value modern classic. On another its a low value homage from a company that has destroyed their heritage by making nothing but homages and garishly oversized monstrosities for 15 years. But it sure does look good. Of course the credit has to go to rolex and Blanc Pain.
