Heya, I started the new hut today. Tomorrow I’ll be laying down a membrane and cutting a hole in the membrane where the upright will go and then putting the upright in concrete then we’ll put in some drain rock and lay down some tea by fours to attach our wooden floor then will start putting in our pallets and will work on the roof and get that all done before we do any of the Cob work. I’ll be documenting the process that you all can see how it progresses.

Hi Gang, I added a video to the course on building a rectangular design, both a small 8 X 12 and a 16 X 20. Its a long video. If you are building a square structure, rather than a round one, this should be helpful to you.

Thoughts or experience on a rubble trench and rock wall foundation for cob walls? for drainage especially in wetter climates - how is this best designed so the cob walls don't wick excess moisture from the ground?

Some burning questions floating in my head 😁..when and how to put in electrical conduits/water service? Do you attach the conduits to the pallets on the inside? Put under foundation?

We built this outdoor shower a few months ago. 10/10 recommend!!! Obviously I would need to fill in the gaps on the interior but I’m wondering if there is an application that would be able to be make it waterproof on the inside? I’m somewhat familiar with tadelakt but not in practice. Just starting out on the natural building endeavor!
