Digging post holes
Dug all the holes for the 12 sided cobbin, rented a groundhog, $100 for four hours. Was able to dig all the holes in about a half an hour 💪. I’ve got another gazebo project. I’m working on, with 8 x 8 posts, so needed a 12 inch diameter hole for that, so I just used the same auger bit for the cobbin, the holes are definitely wider than needed, oh well. @Sir Cobalot what is the exact distance you recommend for the 12 sided from center point to inside post?

@Martin Stenflo beautiful timing!
Large Pavillion Design
I came across these larger pavilions (20×40) and I'm wondering if these might be a good fit for creating a roof and structure for the pallets and cob to go onto? (The website does allow you to increase the roof over hang to 12" or 24") https://amishwholesalegazebos.com/product/20x40-pine-pavilion/?srsltid=AfmBOormA1_6CpCD66VqBNdOomYuzFDPUzKKFNc10QIGDvWT3BSix1lNt-c

I'm not able to open up the link it's not available here...but from your picture looks great! I think as long as the pallets could fit between the walls without having to do too much extra filling in between? What is the cost for one of these? I like being able to see this structure visually for ideas too, thanks for sharing!

Clay paint demo happening today at 4 pm PST
I’m doing a clay paint right now in the cobin I’m working on here in Watsonville and I thought some folks may like to see the process. I know it’s spontaneous but in case you happen to be free and want to get a quick little demo on doing a clay paint which you can actually apply over white drywall you can join me in the live call …

Bottle collecting
Can everyone give me ideas of where to collect these large colored bottles?

Anyone have an easier way to clean off the labels and stickiness other than soaking bottles in bathtub with dish soap for labels and using coconut oil (or whatever oil) and a scrub to get sticky off?

Brazilian Connection
Hi guys, I'm from Brazil. Originally from Rio de Janeiro, but living in a small area in countryside São Paulo State. I've always dreamed to live in a house and to build houses from raw materials. Now I have the opportunity to start learning from you all. If anyone here is also from Brazil or from anywhere in the world, but passing by Sao Paulo, let's connect!
