I set up a receipt printer that automatically prints my entire day every morning at 7:30 AM before I even wake up. It pulls from: Google Calendar (mine + my gf’s shared calendar) Canvas — assignments due, professor announcements Claude AI — priority ranked tasks with detailed steps, time blocks, meal suggestions, habits All formatted and printed on a thermal receipt printer. Multiple receipts, one for schedule, one for tasks, one for Canvas, one for daily essentials. Total cost? $0.06 in API credits for a full day of testing. The $5 credit from Anthropic will last me literally years. Also built a local dashboard to preview everything. The whole thing runs on Python + Claude API + Google Calendar API + Canvas API. I got a client that paid me $300 2 weeks ago. The plan was to send 100 emails for him. On paper $300 is $300, but when you account for the amount of work I did, plus the costs to run the email campaign for him it was not worth it at all. After costs I profited $175 for about 10 hours of work. Might as well of worked a shift at mcdonald's atp. It's good to have a pricing plan that actually makes you money and you have to be willing to say no to work when you're not getting paid properly for the amount of work you're doing. Now we have a better pricing plan and qualification strategy to get paid properly for the work we do.
