One Time Fee?
Hey guys, I’m thinking of changing my Skool community model from subscription-based to a one time fee, around $300. That includes 4 live monthly sessions, every villain survival kit, and upcoming live Q&As with people in the gaming industry. I’m tired of seeing people churn and I think a one time fee would cause less buyer friction. Thoughts on this model?

@Kevin Dowling I know what you mean, I'm just getting really tired. Even the people who are a part of the community don't show up for live sessions. I recognize it may be the time/day, but I'm not going to change it to make them happy. Ultimately, it's my community and the time that I chose could be great for someone else. I won't do evenings. What I'm planning on doing is, if/when no one shows up, I use the time slot to film/edit a resource. At some point, depending on how difficult it is to get members, I will probably use this material to create a massive treasure trove that I'll sell at a bulk price to job seekers who are serious about changing their approach. I'm creating some really great stuff (deep dives into company missions, my bio structure, etc.) and one of my biggest goals is to make a passive income. That will stay in the back of my mind. Skool Now Has Membership Tiers!
If you haven't heard, you can now have different access tiers for members in your Skool! In other words, people can attend for free or pay for premium features. I'm already like.....what's the best way to approach this and market it to my community? What would you put in a premium version of your Skool?

@Kevin Dowling Yeah, it’s a tough call isn’t it? Perhaps when I have more live Q&As with industry professionals, then I can keep those sessions and my coaching for the paid tier. But it’s hard to know if enough people would transition over.

I'm on PodMatch (and Why You Should Be Too!)
Today is my parents' 35th wedding anniversary. And to celebrate, I joined PodMatch yesterday.😄 Seriously, though, I did end up joining at least for the month because I like being on podcasts and I don't have enough money to advertise myself outside of posts and DMs. So what is PodMatch? It's a website where podcast hosts and guests can meet each other rather than having to sift through social media to find the right candidates. It's something I've been eyeing and I realized yesterday that since I don't have money for expensive online ads, this is my adspend. Making connections with podcasters, getting my name out there, and growing my reputation/network. If you're comfortable with being interviewed (they also have audio-only options), it's a great place to connect. They set it up really well! I've actually been on multiple podcasts so the experience is certainly beneficial for me getting more opportunities. And it really depends on a great profile. Read Me: October 7th Workshop ℹ️
Hey everyone 👋 I’m in Vienna this week for my birthday (Tuesday the 7th), which happens to land right on our usual workshop day. So here’s what I’m thinking, I’d love your input 👇 Option A: You run the session without me. I can still open the room from my phone and then hop out. You could either: - Do a co-working / sprint-style session like last month — focus time, accountability, get stuff done. - Try a sales call A:B practice — one person sells something they’re currently offering, the other plays the buyer and gives feedback. Then swap after 30 mins. It you can't do it in Zoom, use the call to decide pairs then open a free Google Meet to do this (or use your own Zoom) Option B: We reschedule this week’s workshop to later in October (Weds or Thurs). I’ll go with whatever most people prefer, so vote below and we’ll lock it in by tomorrow. Cheers everyone!
