Looking for the Light
This is one of my personal favorite paintings I've done. It's actually on display at a gallery right now (🙌). I was really able to capture the soul of the Sonoran Desert. My home. There is something about the way the desert looks as the sun is going down that is just magical. As a painter, I see the world differently. I see things in terms of light and shadow, warmth and coolness (as in: warm and cool colors), and interesting shapes. It doesn't really matter what the actual thing is. It could be a tree. It could be a dumpster in an alley. It could be anything. Our brains are wired to name and identify things and sort them into categories of known and unknown, safe and not safe. Seeing the world as an artist has helped me to make those categories more fuzzy and see that the world around me is just one Whole expressing itself as many parts.

Cannabis
Have you noticed that cannabis brings our mental problems to the surface? It may be that it allows us to take a closer look at them. Some say it's paranoia and that the substance exaggerates our problems. But these are our paranoias and problems, so it's worth looking at them. Personally, From my experiance it is a substance that introduces chaos, and the challenge is to embrace that chaos. But it brings also warmth and light. How do you think? Is it true that when a person has high vibrations, cannabis gives them a positive impression, and when they are having a bad day, the effect can be more of a bad trip? Some say it relaxes them, and some can't stand cannabis because it transports them to a little hell? How is it for you?

For me, cannabis makes my mental landscape ultra high definition. My thoughts are so vivid it's almost like I am inside of them. It definitely has brought a lot of clarity to my mental space and how I interact with myself in my own mind. It's very similar to how mushrooms work for me, which makes sense, since THC is essentially a psychedelic.
✨ Question for the Group — Devotion & “Serving One Master” ✨
Lately I’ve been having a really good time reframing my beliefs and zooming out to see the bigger picture behind different religious teachings. A lot of things have finally started making sense in a deeper, more expansive way. But there’s one idea I’m still sitting with, and I’d love to hear your perspectives: Why does it seem like God requires absolute devotion? For a while, I was thinking of the whole “be in the world but not of it” teaching as a kind of 50/50 balance — like part earthly self, part spiritual self. But the more I explore, the more I see themes like: - “You can’t serve two masters.” - “A house divided against itself can’t stand.” - Not living half in ego and half in God/Spirit. And now I’m unsure how to integrate that. I don’t feel lost — just curious. And honestly, I feel open to whatever clarity wants to come through others. So if anyone feels called to share how they interpret this (from any tradition or viewpoint), I’d really appreciate hearing it. I’m letting God/Life/Spirit speak through you to me. Thank you 🙏✨

@Christina Pfaff That is such a great way to frame it
Space
In this painting, I try to capture the space and depth of the scene, rather than one particular subject.

Reality Transurfing
Hello I’m new 😁 here is my ice breaker question; who has read/is reading Reality Transurfing? I’m about 150 pages in, going slow but steady. Peace n love ☮️
