Just started a brand new channel this weekend and uploaded my first video today and I'm getting a .4% CTR. Is this so low because I'm a new channel and YouTube is still trying to figure out my audience or is it because my thumbnail and title just really really suck. I won't be offended if it means I really sucked let me know.
@Des Dreckett yes this makes perfect sense to be asking for feedback to improve. I'm also curious when you said earlier that you uploaded a thousand videos was that a thousand long-form videos or was that a thousand shorts?
@Coach Darcy yeah more volume to analyze and compare with sounds good! Do you think it's this low because YouTube's still trying to figure out who the right person to show it to is?
Should I start a new channel or use an existing one? I'mTrying to start a singing lessons YouTube channel. So 10 years ago when I was still a kid I uploaded a 4 YouTube videos of me singing just to really share them with friends wasn’t really trying to start a following or anything. Should I just use my existing channel to make singing lessons content or should I start a completely new one. Does either one make a difference in terms of how the YouTube algorithm views you or your chances of success?
