Creating Confident Coaches
One of the biggest struggles new and seasoned coaches face isn’t their ability to coach, (although we never stop improving our coaching), it’s how to connect with potential clients, create meaningful conversations, and confidently guide those conversations into coaching relationships. I've been asked many times, how do I create conversations, or ok I've a conversation booked, now what? And how do I turn the conversation into a proposal if it's the right time, and how do I know when it's the right time? Over the past 3 years while working with Coaches and in various programmes I've been in during the many years before that, the above questions never stopped being asked. So myself and the wonderful Rose Latham have decided to combine our experience and create something powerful and practical to take you deep into the mechanics of building confidently and clarity in the entire client creation process and help coaches move past the holding yourself back stage skillfully. Introducing Creating Clients Confidently - the 6 week deep dive, starting in January. Over 6 weeks, you’ll learn how to: Connect with potential clients naturally, and open conversations without feeling awkward or “salesy.” Go deep in discovery, finding what truly matters to your potential clients and giving them a powerful coaching experience right from the start. Understand enrollment, so that it feels authentic, relational, and service-led rather than pushy or pressured. Clear money mindset blocks, so you no longer second-guess your value or stumble when talking about fees. Confidently take a client from first conversation to a paid coaching relationship with clarity and ease. By the end of these 6 weeks, you’ll not only have a practical understanding of the steps, but also the confidence to implement them immediately. This program is about giving you the tools, the practice, and the mindset to create clients without performance, pressure, and doubt. We are opening the doors to the beta program on January 7th at a very special no brainer price of £250 for the full 6 weeks (the only time it will be this price).

Do you have a fear of people?
Would it surprise you to hear many coaches do, and you may be one of them? Many, many coaches have a fear of bothering people, of contacting people, enrolling people and it can heavily impact the growth of your business. You will know if you have it, though probably haven't labeled it a fear and put it down to a not liking, "I don't like to bother people" I don't like to impose" I don't like to be pushy" you get the drift. This is where you put the reps in, there is no replacement for doing your own work, either with a 121 coach, a training or peer coaching, do any and all work as it comes up and never expect to not have any more work to do. As coaches we have the luxury of knowing how to reframe, so how can you start to reframe your fears, or don't likes, so they stop holding you back in your business? Much love Jules xx

Julie - put that way it could be my problem - I'm a gentleman and don't like to bothering people. Steve Chandler put it in a very good way last night. He said look at this way, you are the water carrier - you carry the water from the well to everyone's house, (your just the water carrier) you knock on the door and ask if they want water, if they do you give it, if they don't that's fine to. Some people may be asleep when you knock, they get up to see who is at the door and you ask do they need water, some people may get angry if they don't need water - other's will say yes, thank you for waking me up otherwise I may have missed you and run out of water. We are just the water carriers that's all, and must knock on everyone's door, to see if they need water - its that simple. Hope that all makes sense to people. If you offer water to everyone eventually you will find a group of people you like and need water on a regular basis. If you go looking for them you may never find them, so offer water to everyone and you will eventually find your tribe and your niche.

I think the idea of having conversations with anyone and everyone is to discover if there is an issue, problem or something that you can then offer a 'coaching conversation'. The only way you will find out the latter is if you have a conversation in the first place. Don't let your ego, your fear get in the way - just have a conversation and ask them if they want some water. In having the conversation you may found out (ask the right questions) if there is an issue you can help with. The ideal is to solve a simple problem so you can get into a position to offer something - an invitation to further coach and help
Having a play
I've been seeing a guy on FB sharing jokes while shrugging and decided to create a series of myth busting reels. What myth/guru rule would you like to see broken?

What is the process to signing up a client - we go out and have conversations - find a nugget and invite them to have a coaching conversation and then ......... the process is what?

I listened to Steve Chandler and Carolyn Freyer-Jones podcast last night (Awesome - anyone want the link DM me) four of the questions where around how do I sign up clients out of the 642 people on the podcast and the 6/7 people who got to ask questions four had been about this - its that little bit of magic we all have to learn or relearn as coaches - What is your advice on this myth, Julie?
Free training
Hello everyone, I've just received an email from the John Hornick school of coaching, it was recommended to me by Steve Chandler a few years ago. Well they are running the 6 session course starting in January and are offering Alumni free enrolment and free access for anyone we want to share it with. So here it is, if it's something that looks good to you simply add ALUMFRIEND at checkout to make it free. As always check your capacity, you don't have to sign up for everything on offer. Much love to you all xx https://hornickschoolofcoaching.com/fundamentals-of-coaching

Grounding and Growth Cycles
Every coaching business moves through cycles. There are moments of rapid expansion when clients seem to find you easily, opportunities multiply, and your calendar fills. And there are quieter stretches where growth slows down, inquiries soften, and you may even wonder if something has gone wrong. It’s tempting to see the fast seasons as “success” and the slower ones as “setbacks,” but in truth, both are essential parts of building something sustainable. Grounding helps us navigate these cycles with steadiness. When you’re rooted in your own values and rhythms, you don’t cling to the highs as proof of worth, and you don’t spiral in the lows as evidence of failure. You begin to see growth as something organic, like a tree: branches stretch outward, then energy pulls back inward to strengthen the roots. Both are needed. Without its roots the tree topples. Without reaching, it never fulfills its purpose. For coaches, this perspective changes how you view your business. Instead of pushing harder in the slow times or grasping for control in the busy ones, you can meet each season with curiosity. Notice what your business is teaching you, what your energy needs, and what your clients are showing you. Grounding makes space for patience, and patience gives you the resilience to stay with your work long enough to see the long arc of growth unfold. When you think about your own coaching practice, what season are you in right now, and how might grounding help you honor it instead of resisting it? Much love - Jules xx

Its autumn for me, pulling everything back to the roots. Storing all my learnings and getting ready for an early spring. Its been up and down this year, a few false starts, three steps forward and two back, need to get a better handle on moving forward and building something more sustainable this next year. Frustration is high, I know its just within my grasp but eluding me at the moment. Spent the last few days 'grounding myself' doing everything right, but just missing that elusive piece of the jigsaw to bring it altogether.
