Skool Communities - Where 305,000+ Potential Clients Hang Out 🔥
305,000 people in one community. Most need automation help. Here is how I get inbound DMs without posting ads. THE COMMUNITIES: AI Automation Agency Hub - 305,900+ members AI Automation Society - Large, active community AI Automation Agency Ninjas - 20,000+ members THE OPPORTUNITY: These communities have two types of members: 1. Agency owners who need subcontractors for delivery 2. Business owners exploring AI automation solutions Both are potential clients. THE STRATEGY: Skool has a gamification system. You earn points for posting valuable content and getting engagement. High points = visibility = inbound DMs. THE APPROACH: Week 1-2: Just observe. See what questions get asked repeatedly. Week 3-4: Answer questions. Be genuinely helpful. Share frameworks and approaches. Week 5-6: Post one case study. Real numbers. Real results. No pitch. Week 7+: DMs start coming. "Can you help me with something similar?" THE POST THAT WORKS: "Just automated invoice processing for a construction company. Went from 12 hours weekly to 45 minutes. Here is exactly how I built it: [detailed breakdown]. Happy to answer questions." THE POST THAT FAILS: "I offer automation services! DM me for a free consultation!" Value first. Always. THE NUMBERS: 8 weeks of consistent engagement: - 47 helpful answers posted - 3 detailed case studies shared - 12 inbound DMs asking for help - 4 clients signed Revenue: $7,200 from free community participation. THE KEY: Be patient. Reputation takes time. But once established, leads come to you. Which automation community could you start contributing to this week?

Your posts are ALWAYS super valuable, thank you @Duy Bui! I recently started learning AI automation and you were my inspiration to get started. THANK YOU.
6 Months in, 0 Clients. Need a reality check on my outreach/offer.
Hey everyone, I’m reaching out because I’ve hit a massive wall and could use some honest advice from those who have successfully landed their first few clients. I started my AI Automation journey in August 2025. I’ve been grinding for 6 months now, but I haven't been able to land my first client or make any money yet. It’s been a tough road with no testimonials or case studies to show. Here is what I’m currently doing: - Niche: Construction / Independent Management Consultants. - Outreach: personalized Instagram DMs and cold Emails. - Offer: Automating invoice data entry (Gmail to Google Sheets) and AI-powered email handling. - The Problem: Most people either don't see the message, or they say they are "too small" for automation and want to wait until they hire employees. I recently started offering to do the work for free just to get a case study/testimonial, but even then, I’m getting "I’m okay for now" as a response. I’d love your advice on a few things: 1. If you were back at zero with no portfolio, which outreach method would you go all-in on? 2. Is Instagram the wrong place for construction? Should I pivot to LinkedIn or Cold Email? 3. How do you convince a "one-man show" that automation is worth their time before they scale? Really appreciate any feedback or "brutal honesty" you guys have. I’m committed to making this work, I just need to find the right door to knock on.

Hey @Aveer Pawar I'm just responding to let you know I'm rooting for your success and as per that third question - how do you convince a one-man show automation is worth their time before they scale? - my response would be, it's not worth their time simply because they don't yet have the problem until they scale...so it'll be more beneficial to search for people who already have the challenges that come with scale.
Newbie to Automations
There is a learning curve when trying to learn a new skill. My question is; are automations easier to grasp on Make.com or n8n as a newbie? Which is better to start from scratch with & scale later? Just curious what the overall thoughts are ☺️

@Natasha Crawford this was the question I had today, thought I'd scroll through previous chats to see if anyone else had asked it previously and I'm glad I found this...thank you.
(Small Win) Landed a 2-Hour Consultation Gig...🎉
Though I'm still working on landing my 1st automation client, completing a small 2-hour consultation gig was an interesting, unexpected surprise. This client saw one of my "portfolio" videos on Upwork and asked if I'd be open to a 1-hour consultation call. I said yes (obviously) and we scheduled a call for the next day. They were interested in GTM Strategy, Sales and Implementation initiatives for their new product wanted to know how I'd approach it. I asked questions around their current plans to launch, market and sell their offering. They answered, I asked more questions, provided insights, asked more questions, etc. Then, we started coming up on time so I started the "wrap up" and said, "I feel like we've covered a lot of good information so far, but it would be extremely helpful if I could see or gain test' access to the offering. Speaking about something is one thing but actually being able to see how it works would paramount." Their eyes lit up, look at their watch and said, "Do you have time for a demo?". Me: Sure, I had a no-show earlier so I have extra time. And off we went into the demo. Long story short, after another hour of the demo, I was able to categorize my recommendations into "Efforts" and "Systems". I put together a roadmap for them and included a Full Marketing & Sales System (automation workflow). They agreed to share their feedback with me later this week (but may go into next week since it's a holiday this week here in the US) but thought the 2-hour consultation was a cool experience on this journey 😊. I'm still going to continue my "Day #..." efforts until I get a true, 1st client. Just wanted to share this for anyone who may be getting discouraged on their journey......keep going. Even if a "win" doesn't look like a "client", there could be other surprises waiting for you - if you just keep going.

Congratulations @Marcus Williamsley! Small or big, I say A WIN IS A WIN!🔥
The Demo That Closes 70% of Calls 🔥
Discovery call going well. Client interested. Then said: "Sounds good, send me a proposal." Translation: "I'm not convinced yet but being polite." Changed my approach. Now 70% of calls close on the call itself. THE OLD APPROACH: Discovery call: Talk about their problem (30 min) Me: "I can definitely help. Let me send proposal." Them: "Sounds good." Then: Radio silence. Close rate: 30% THE NEW APPROACH: Discovery call: Talk about their problem (15 min) Me: "Want to see exactly how this would work? I can build a quick demo right now." Them: "Uh, sure..." Then: I build it live while they watch. Close rate: 70% THE LIVE DEMO PROCESS: "Do you have a sample invoice you can share screen with me?" They share their actual invoice. "Great, let me show you what happens..." Then I: 1. Upload their invoice to Make workflow (2 min) 2. Run extraction live (30 seconds) 3. Show extracted data (they gasp) 4. Map to their QuickBooks format (2 min) 5. Show complete entry (they're sold) Total demo time: 5 minutes Impact: Massive THE MAGIC MOMENT: When their actual data appears correctly formatted. That's when they get it. Not theoretical. Not "imagine if." Their invoice. Their data. Working now. "When can you start?" - Exact words, 7 times. THE SETUP: Pre-call preparation: - Have Make scenario open (generic template) - PDF Vector API ready - Screen share tested - Test invoice ready (backup if they don't have one) During call: - Ask for their document - Share screen - Build live - Use their actual data THE BENEFITS: BUILDS TRUST: Not hiding behind proposals. Showing actual capability. OVERCOMES SKEPTICISM: "Can automation really handle MY documents?" Yes. Watch. CREATES URGENCY: They see it working NOW. Don't want to wait. DIFFERENTIATES YOU: Most freelancers talk. You show. THE OBJECTIONS THAT DISAPPEAR: "What if my invoices are different format?" Show: Handles their format perfectly. "What about accuracy?" Show: Extracts every field correctly.
