The “invisible engine”:what actually makes a community grow ?
Lately, I’ve been reflecting on the difference between a community that feels like "work" and one that feels like "momentum." In my journey as a student of growth and a community manager, I’ve noticed that the biggest hurdle for most founders isn't a lack of vision, it’s the "Maintenance Gap." It’s easy to have the big idea ,it’s much harder to handle the daily welcomes, the engagement, and the back-end admin that keeps the "spirit" of the group alive. I used to think my growth was only about my own big goals. But I’ve realized that my "Destiny Building" is actually about being the engine for others. I find so much fulfillment in handling the "engine room" tasks so that leaders can stay focused on their substance and high level strategy. I'd love to hear from the builders in here: • When you think about your community or project, what is the one "engine room" task you wish you could automate or offload so you could stay in your Zone of Genius? Let’s talk about how we balance the big vision with the daily "busy work" below. 👇
