How Could Your Community be Improved?
In the last days I've talked with so many of you and got a pleasure to know you personally 🙌 And got to know the amazing things you do. And the problems you face. So I want to ask: What is something you are doing in your community that could be improved this week? What's the 1 improvement that would bring the most benefit? Personally, I could name 10 things that are blocking me or could be improved in my community. So I'm sure everyone has something they haven't figured out yet. 👇 Drop what you haven't figured out yet, and let the community figure it out for you.

@Paul Sirvinskas Hi Paul, thank you very much for taking a look, it's really appreciated. The problem I have running it as a challenge is that people join or start at very different times, so I would need to do it every week. And that might get a bit boring for people already in the community, seeing those posts about the challenge every week. I agree re the group workshops, and the full paid course (when it's finalised) could work like this but for a free course it's very time consuming and cost prohibitive.

@Paul Sirvinskas Thanks Paul for sharing your thoughts, I'll have to think about it more. I see other communities have live Q and As or group workshops etc. which seem good, but I don't know how affective these are for people to learn. Surely, there needs to be some sort of syllabus for people to follow first, and then the live Q and As come in after. Ultimately, unless the community is just a hang out space, people join to learn something, or fix a pain point, so it's finding the best way to teach that. I always want to have free courses, but as you say because it's free people don't perceive it as any value.

Anyone Want to Do a Meetup Collab This Weekend?
The same way how we did with Chris last weekend. Combine our members, talk about our communities and get to know each other.

I talk about Community activities and Management methods. But building a Community is more than that. Building a Community is understanding People. It’s seeing that different People join the Community for different reasons. The diversity they bring makes the Community lively. So we should welcome it. Also, people have personal Goals. Some are business-related; others are self-related. People want help with their Goals... Even when those Goals aren’t related to the Community’s common Goal. As Managers we should ask ourselves - how can we help our Community members best? I used to work with startup founders who relocated to my country. I handled selection and Community building after they arrived. I also helped with Company Registration, finding Apartments, and Business Development. I helped where I could, even if it wasn’t part of my role. Over time, I noticed that people who I could help became more active and our relationships grew stronger. Meanwhile, those I couldn’t help stayed more distant. That showed me a lot about what people want from their Communities. So I believe we should help people in our Community - It makes the Community Strong and builds personal relationships. I really liked how @Harvey Raybould did it in his community. He runs a community about finances, but he asked if people want help with any aspects of their lives. If you haven't already, check out his community
