I’d like to share the cover for my second comic! The pencils and inks are officially finished, and now it’s time for the coloring to bring it all to life. It’s been a blast watching this one come together, and I’m excited to share each step of the journey with you. Now I want to turn the spotlight over to all of you—what are you working on? Whether it’s comics, illustrations, paintings, writing, or any other creative project, I’d love to see your works in progress. Drop them in the comments and let’s celebrate making art together!

Hey there! I love the action and movement for your Corn Guy! It is so fun! This is my latest WIP and finished piece in a long time. I do a bunch of nature journaling in my down time but haven’t really sat and completed a “full” piece in a long while. This is my dog, Loki. I just start painted him to serve as a watercolor demonstration at my job. I’ve been wondering if I need/should add more linework into my pieces. I enjoy watercolor and then adding additional mediums on top, so I’m sort of turning into a mixed media artist. 😅

@Ben Henry I will try that with the flowers then! It just so happens I still have some daylillies still blooming in the garden for inspiration!
Potential Style in the Works??
Hey there! I’ve posted a collection of smaller pieces that I have created over the last 2 years basically, with the two pet portraits being completed within the last week. Ever since leaving high school, I have struggled with creating art and really being involved with any of my other interests. I think I was severely burnt out after high school. I slowly have been trying to recover from the burn out as well as some mental health stuff, but I noticed an increase in productivity when I got into nature journaling at a state park job 2 years back. Since then, I’ve been sketching more and painting small watercolors here and there but nothing major. The two dog portraits you see are the biggest things I have completed in a long while and I am very proud of that. I am hoping this is going a step in the right direction! I mainly use watercolors and the subjects are generally floral and fauna. I love nature and love learning everything relation to one another within it. I’m wondering what patterns y’all see within these pieces and/or something I should try and bring out more/lessen? Let me know if you are interested in seeing my nature journaling sketches too. Maybe there are hidden patterns in those as well I could bring out?
