Because I love myself 💙
I go to the gym... because I love myself I brush my teeth... because I love myself I clean my home... because I love myself I shower... because I love myself I build community... because I love myself I create & scale companies... because I love myself I maintain my friendships... because I love myself I meditate... because I love myself I journal... because I love myself I prioritize my sleep... because I love myself I show up for my clients... because I love myself I eat healthy meals... because I love myself I sit in gratitude daily... because I love myself There are many, many things I do because I love myself. Your self is the only thing you were given when you were born and you will have until you die. And many of us - especially those of us with ADHD - tend to beat ourselves up. "I am stupid" "I'm not good enough" "I need to do more" "Why can't I just stop procrastinating?!" "I must be broken" "I'm worthless" "I don't deserve to be successful" It is easy to be harsh to yourself. You're often your own worst critic. But what if we chose to feed another voice? The voice of self-love and compassion? The voice that whispers our unique strengths and abilities, knows what we're capable of, and is our biggest cheerleader? 2026 is only days away. A new year. A new opportunity to set intentions and make changes. I'm not talking about empty New Year's resolutions to "do better". I'm talking about embracing that we already ARE better - and choosing to feed that reality instead of the many that don't serve us. My plan in 2026 is to embrace loving presence and build myself up. Be my own cheerleader. Choose awe and gratitude in every possible moment. The world is full of incredible, awesome things to be grateful for, and I choose to see that reality... Because I love myself. What will you do differently in 2026 because you love yourself?

In a world of social media that can tend to make you feel less than others “perfect lives” this was a wonderful reminder and a great way to start my week… much love @Bill Widmer
This Week in Focus Founders: NVC workshop, Live Chats & more!
We've got some events coming up for you, Focus Founders! First, we have two live chat threads to get to know each other and have fun. One is tonight from 6-6:30 PM CST, the other is Thursday from 12:45-1:15 PM CST. So if you're feeling social but don't want to hop on a call, join us and help us rack up some engagement so we can boost the Focus Founders community to higher heights! Next, tomorrow (Wednesday the 19th), our community member @Rainbow Bird de Soliris is hosting a non-violent communication (NVC) workshop from 6-9 PM CST here in Austin! If enough people are interested, we may also try to live stream the event so you can join in virtually as well! Drop your vote in the poll if you'd be interested in attending a livestream :) NVC is a communication process for conflict resolution and building deeper connections.

“How can I bring my gifts into the world today?”
@Rex Loyer and I just got back from a 5-day “workation” / retreat. We stayed in a glamping tent in a retreat property out in the woods, and focused on getting some things done for Focus Founders. What was meant to be a productive time together ended up being something totally different. Rather than getting a lot done, I found myself riddled with anxiety half the time, and struggling to focus the other half. I got less done than if we’d just stayed home. However, I got something else while I was there… A realization. The seeds of transformation. Part of our mission with Focus Founders is to create a business not out of a need for money or out of the manic “must get things done” energy, but rather from a place of love and joy. Both Rex and I are perfectly capable of building a business that makes a lot of money. We’ve done so several times before. Focus Founders is different. Yes, we plan to grow it to make a lot of money… But the real experiment here (which is going really well, I might add) is how can we build a business purely from a place of love and joy? And not out of need, or forcing ourselves to get things done? And this week, I have unlocked even more of the puzzle. One of the pieces of the puzzle is building on top of your natural gifts. The talents you were born with, or really enjoy cultivating. For me, some of my gifts are authenticity, enthusiasm, and deep compassion. And so I bring these gifts into this business in every way I can. But it’s not just business where our gifts can shine. I woke up this morning and a burning question hit my mind. It was one of those moments where the universe just strikes you with something you need to know. The question was this: How can I bring my gifts into the world today? You see, something I learned this week is that when I am in my power, my light shines brighter. And when my light shines brighter, I have more to give to others. But stepping into my power is a choice. And it takes conscious intention.

@Bill Widmer Thanx so much for this post today… it piggy backed off of an experience I had a couple of days ago.. I was having a lot of angst about trying to make a minimum of 10k a month… wondering if I was aiming too high…. As I was working on a workshop to “purge your digital office” I decided to go through my own emails and find the fastest most efficient way to do so…. As I was doing this I came across all of my Air bnb payouts from 6 years ago…. WOW!!! I forgot… one payout was 9k (for 12 days) and they just kept popping up… one month alone I generated 25k for just one property!!! Holy Moly I had forgotten… What was I doing back then to do so??? Exactly what you just wrote… I put myself in my guests shoes and treated the homes and them with love and exceptionalism… how would I want to feel if I was staying at a place… I over delivered and many of those people started coming back multiple times and recommending our properties to other people…. It was using my talents to create a space that hugged people when they stayed there… that was it, and it payed off… thank you for the reminder of how I built that business and how I can build this one 💙💙💙
The hack that's made me over $1M as an ADHD entrepreneur 💰
I'm gonna real with you guys... Being an entrepreneur with ADHD is fucking hard sometimes. I’m constantly second-guessing my ideas, tweaking my systems, questioning my offer, wondering if I should pivot… or start a whole new business altogether. Just last week, I almost convinced @Rex Loyer we needed to create another offer. But then I remembered... Success doesn't come from having the perfect idea or constant tweaking. It comes from staying with something long enough to let it work. Because every change has a fixed cost in focused energy. Switch your CRM? You lose hours (or days) learning the new one. Switch your offer? You lose 20% of the momentum you’d already built. Think of it this way: You’re pushing a massive boulder up a hill. It’s heavy. It’s slow. Your muscles ache. Then you spot another boulder off to the side that looks a little smaller, maybe smoother, maybe more colorful. You think, “Maybe that one will be easier to push." "If I could just find the right boulder, I can get to the top of this hill and push it down the other side.” So you drop the boulder you’ve been pushing and walk over to the new one. But guess what? It’s just as heavy. Sometimes even heavier. And the worst part? All that effort you spent pushing the first one…is gone. If you didn't maintain it, it starts rolling back down the hill. And now you’re back at the bottom of a new hill, starting from zero again. This time with more fatigue. Here's my point... Entrepreneurship isn't about the big glamorous "I made $1 million overnight" moves. For 99% of people, it doesn't work like that. It's a slow, painful grind over months and years. Without letting shiny object pull you in. I get it - it's pulled me in many times. I've switched businesses a TON. That's why I have people in my corner holding me accountable to sticking to one thing long enough to see it through. Because left to my own devices, my ADHD will pull me in another direction.
