Struggling to learn Jake’s ICM? 📁
Hey everyone, If you’ve been quietly struggling with learning how to build or what to build, you’re not alone. I’ve seen the posts, and I know how frustrating it can feel when things don’t click. I wanted to try to do something about it. I built a custom AI Tutor that has the complete knowledge and teaching style of @Jake Van Clief and @Matthew Creamer’s Foundations courses. Think of Jake as the professor. This agent is your dedicated Teacher’s Assistant who sits with you one-on-one. Here’s why it’s different: • It walks you through every concept step by step, exactly as Jake outlines them • You’re not just chatting or watching videos. You’re actually building files and folders together in Claude • It checks your work in real time and won’t let you move forward until you truly understand • It speaks in their voice and follows their exact methodology This is the hands-on practice and patient guidance a lot of us have been missing. How to try it: 1. Grab the repo 2. Follow the README 3. Open the folder in Claude and let the tutor take over I’m very proud of how it turned out and I want this to help as many people as possible. We just crossed 30,000 members! Let’s make sure every single one of us has the support they need to actually master this stuff. If you try it, please drop a comment and let me know: • Did it help you understand a concept that was confusing before? • What worked well? • What could be better? I want your honest feedback so we can keep improving it together. I’d love it if this could turn into a proper community teaching tool we all build and evolve. Link in comments 👇

@Kathy Wagner if you're using VS Code, you can also the extension "Cline" by cline.bot and you can use from a host of API providers including Gemini, ChatGPT, etc.. you'll simply need to rename CLAUDE.md to .clinerules - Cline automatically reads that file as persistent instructions like the CLAUDE.md file. same behavior as how Claude Code reads CLAUDE.md - Copy/rename CLAUDE.md >> .clinerules at the project root - Leave everything else in the tree as-is You can use Groq for pennies, so you can test. Or, if you have any other APIs for that matter. Although, in the end I strongly believe Claude is the winner for how it handles reasoning and Anthropic uses .md files natively. Hope that helps! Weekly Winner Repo/Section
Hello everyone! Is there a section here in the skool community where ALL the submissions are listed for each week's challenges? @Don Roy created a post for the past winner's links, which is great. https://www.skool.com/cliefnotes/weekly-competition-megathread But, since this is a learning journey for the community, I think we can benefit from learning where we may fall short from others. Glad to have found this community, it's amazing to see how this community has grown.

🏆 WEEKLY COMP #4 RESULTS: THE AGENCY (CORRECTED) 🏆
I need to walk back this morning's announcement before anything else. @Ariel Ortiz is not a Premium or VIP member. The competition was Premium and VIP only, stated in bold in the original brief. That eligibility check should have happened before judging and it didn't. That's on me. The $325 and the Week 4 title go to @Ruby Sparks. The rest of the writeup stands. Repeating it here so the corrected results live in one place. ➖➖➖ 🏆 WINNER: @Ruby Sparks 🏆 🔗 Repo: https://github.com/sparkles-inc/agency-os 🌐 Live site: https://agency-os-tan-five.vercel.app/ Ruby was within an inch of taking it on the original call. The judging call between her build and Ariel's was the longest I've sat with on any comp. She earned this on the work alone. The Loom video she recorded for this submission is the cleanest voice work I've heard on any community submission. Full-on infomercial quality. Voice acting level. If you haven't watched it yet, go watch it. It's a master class in how to present a build. Beyond the voice: an animated handoff explainer on the companion site, a WRITEUP.md that compresses the entire submission into three paragraphs of clean argument, and a design philosophy made explicit. She refused typed schemas in favor of human-readable Handoff Cards with seven sections including a required Gaps field ("if Gaps is empty, you're not looking hard enough"). One continuous narrative thread runs through all 27 files of her repo. Ruby takes the $325. @Sonija Quinn will reach out to Ruby directly for payment details. Remember: in a world where AI is making it easier to build, it's the unique opinions and styles that become valuable. ➖➖➖ I thought last week was hard to judge. This was the hardest comp to judge so far. Not even close.

@Johnny L 100% how I feel with these. Although, it [is] a learning experience for me. I've been working on projects myself, and when I see these...well, puts them in perspective. But, for sure gets me thinking about different ways of using ICM. For instance, looking at @Ariel Ortiz build and how he did NOT use CLAUDE.md nor CONTEXT.md in each of his stages made me realize that the structure ICM uses is simply a shell and the real part is the routing. I'm not too sure just yet how deterministic is the input: **From:** 00_orchestrator, 01_lead_qualifier, or 02_property_research Vs. ICM's input from the previous' stage. @Ariel Ortiz also seems to have a loop in his ICM at stage 06. Which is also nice. His ICM is ambitious - yes. @Ruby Sparks 's is pretty clean as well. Both are great, both are simply different. I hope to keep learning from these as I tweak mine as I learn.
🏆 WEEKLY COMP #3 WINNER ....
Before I get to the who and why, I want to say this plainly. Picking a winner this round was genuinely hard. I went through every submission. Pulled repos. Read identity files. Compared rules.md sections. Every entry did real work. A lot of you shipped something I would happily use, sell, or hand a client tomorrow. I can NOT explain to you how proud I am of everyone participating in these, you make this community worth and it and there is SO much potential for the future from just ONE competition let alone future ones. 💼 That part matters more than the prize. The $325 covers a year of Premium and that's great but... The portfolio piece is the real value here. A public repo of a working folder-based AI specialist with a clean README and receipts is a resume line that hiring managers can clone and test cold in five minutes. It is also something you can charge for. If you built a specialist that solves a real problem in a real domain, you already have most of what you need to license it to a peer in your industry, sell it as a service, or package it as a Done-with-You engagement. A few quick notes on that, because most of you did not realize what you actually built and I want to Highlight a few of you: 💸 @Nicolas Patron Uriburu USD Routing Coach AR could be sold to every Argentine indie consultor I know. Same playbook works for any country with FX restrictions. Subscription service, recalibrated annually, audit-pack included. It is a product. 🔗 https://github.com/Nicopatron/usd-routing-coach-ar 🔧 @Jannetje van Leeuwen RAMS specialist is a service business in waiting. Irish signage contractors will pay for this. Same model works for any trade with a regulatory documentation burden. Plumbing, electrical, fit-out, demolition. Each one needs its own folder. 🔗 https://github.com/JannetjeIQ/rams-irish-signage-installer
