Accepted an Offer
Hey all. This is a little late, but after 3 months of applying to tons of places and sitting for dozens of interviews I received and accepted an offer! I feel like I got lucky after constantly reading through people not getting anything after 12+ months of interviewing. So I guess I'd say it's tough as hell out there but some people are still hiring. Thanks to everyone on here for creating resources to help me get over this last bit of unemployment!

@John Royall nothing specific other than the usual making sure I have a good grasp of what I've done and being able to relate well to the questions being asked. I think it was the right need at the right time.
Lots of folks asking for resume reviews…
Just purely out of curiosity, wanted to take a poll in the group. What do most of you think is holding you back from consistent interviews?

One thing I've heard push back on is the idea of metrics being included where most hiring managers are ignoring metrics as they are tough to verify and can sometimes be exaggerated. I am curious about that, as those who push back are right in that most resume advice tells someone to make sure to include metrics. I wonder if including metrics in a resume became or is becoming an anti-pattern. 🤔

Asking for resume feeback!
Hey all! I haven't gone over the resume tips that the insiders group offers just yet. I wanted to get feedback on the current resume. I've been getting interviews using it, but I'm sure there's more I can do. I don't necessarily tailor my resume, I usually tailor the jobs I'm applying for to my current resume. This cuts down my applying time to only about an hour a day rather than rewriting my resume for every job. Any feedback you have on form and content would help. I'm also wondering, specifically, about tying the tech I use to the bullet points in addition to listing my skills. Example would be "Created webhook ingestion system using TypeScript, Node, Rest APIs, and DynamoDB." I've heard to do that and not to do that and I'm wondering what the community thinks. Thanks all! Attached is my resume!
