New Video - Is ChatGPT Plus Worth It?
This video gives my answer to the question "is ChatGPT Plus worth it?" after the GPT-5 update. ChatGPT Plus still costs $20/month and provides several features such as advanced GPT-5 models, ChatGPT Agent, advanced voice mode, Sora, GPTs, Projects, higher usage, and more. Check out my updated video!

Hi @Ryan Doser I just wanted to give you my hones opinion about ChatGPT-5 Plus. For me I am starting to feel like this is a waste of money. Here's Why: 1. It still doesn't follow instructions. For example take your summarization prompt. I fed it that prompt and put the link to a YouTube video I was watching and the response was I do not have access to videos it is basically hit or miss with this. Plus when I give it instructions like "in a moment I will be giving you documents and I want you to use them to do XYZ. Do you understand?" It decides to do XYZ before the documents are uploaded. 2. It also seems to be more of a "Yes Man" than an AI that can think and push back. I mean I can literally tell it that something is wrong and instead of verifying the information it responds with "You're right and then spits out what I told it was right. 3. IT still hallucinates and makes stuff up more than 4o. 4. It still has some security and privacy issues. We're talking as recent as last month where it had to work with search providers to remove exposed the chats that were shared with search engines like Google. 5. Oh and let's know forget the fact that after the throttling and outages. I don't know if anyone here has had these issues but I've been getting that a lot lately. I'll give it a prompt and it doesn't do anything or I'll give it a prompt and I had it say that I reached my limit which was strange because I just logged in and only gave it that one prompt! I know these things happen with the free version but if I'm paying $20 per month I would expect better service than free. These are just some of the reasons I am thinking of going back to the free version and going with something like Claude or something else like Merlin (at least with the paid version of Merlin I will have access to several other AIs).
ChatGPT and Claude are strange
I was just testing a prompt that was supposed to take my one-liner and improve it. I mean they were good but hey It's for an upcoming 3 day workshop and that is one of the things they gave as prework before the event. My two original versions of my one-liners: V1: I design money systems that find you $300 a month in savings within 30 days, or I pay you. This one was designed to create curiosity. V2: You know how a lot of people make good money but still feel broke? I fix that by building a money system that puts at least $300 back in their pocket every month. This one was for everyday or casual meetups. Both ChatGPT and Claude said these were both well crafted. I just thought it was strange and thought someone else would want a good laugh. 😆

The main screens. I was just testing a simple prompt: You're a marketing expert and copywriter who specializes in optimizing elevator pitches. I'm going to give you my elevator pitch, can you help me optimize it for clarity and language that resonates with my ideal client? Here's my elevator pitch: I just thought the response was strange.
Quick AI Rant 🤬
Hey guys! Quick AI Rant I want to get off my chest as I keep seeing AI Hype & Fear content everywhere online... Curious to hear your thoughts on this. Those who keep beating the AI hype/fear drum are always missing two important factors: 1. Quality: Few understand what "good" look likes in a given subject, and because of this they confuse AI slop outputs from Agents/Automations with meaningful outputs that actually move the needle. 2. Time: The "RIP designers/marketers/SaaS" crowd always fails to factor in the time it takes to learn and use AI products correctly... Versus paying an expert or SaaS subscription to deliver higher-quality outputs, give you peace of mind, and give yourself more time for higher value tasks. Moral of the Story - Those pushing AI hype/fear are great at attracting eyeballs but conveniently leave out real world practicality.

I agree @Ryan Doser, and I also thing most of these people who are pushing the fear hype are doing so just to get views and clicks in hopes to sell their overpriced, poorly AI created courses. Although, as the old saying goes "Believable lies contain some truth in them." I'll give you a good example: I just got done and deleted a chat I had in Chat-GPT because I gave it an example of some files I was going to upload into a project and I was asking it to help me create some instructions for the project. It decided on its own to give me a list of files in addition to what I had that I didn't need nor want. When I instructed it to stop and just help me with the custom instructions it decided to spit out a ton of links that didn't even work (I've been having issues with bad links but I digress). To sum it all up some of the fear type videos and article might just be geared towards someone like me who is frustrated and take the bait. Just my 2 bits.
