What's the most ignorant thing someone's said to you?
Did you get any ignorant or stupid responses when you mentioned moving abroad to your friends or family? Off the top of my head, I remember people saying to me things like "Isn't Thailand just full of ladyboys?" and "Are you going there to buy a wife?" What kind of nonsense have you heard?

I have been told everything. "Watch out, it's dangerous in that part of the world" "You like the lady boys" "Canada is way better for business" <---LOL "Liking Asian women is wrong because fetishizing non whites is rooted in patriarchy and white supremacy"

New beginnings
Hi everyone. My name is Frank. I'm a 44 year old salesman from Canada. I stumbled across this community while I was looking for career options in remote sales and appointment setting which led me to digital nomads. I've heard of digital nomads before but never gave it much thought. After doing a deep dive on digital nomads and online business opportunities. I knew that this was the path where I belong on. I ended up signing up for Nomad School Pro to learn more about digital marketing and other online business opportunities. Today, I booked my one way ticket to Thailand. I'm arriving in Bangkok at the end of November. I'm planning on hitting up both Bangkok and Chiang Mai. The visa situation is a bit weird now in Thailand so I don't even how long I can stay for but I'm just really happy (and a little scared) to be starting this journey. Looking forward to meeting new people and developing a new sales/marketing career. I do plan on doing the touristy stuff for like a week since I'll be in a new country but my main focus is really to develop a new career and lifestyle. Glad to have found like minded people here. Peace!

Productivity tips: what works for you?
I've been using focusmate for a while now and find it really helps to connect with people from around the world. Admittedly it can be a bit random as some people can be doing completely unrelated tasks like cleaning the kitchen but once you've found a few people that are into the same thing you can favourite them and book regular slots. focusmate.com What does anyone else you? Any hints and tips for staying on track?

I use Evernote. I categorize all my to dos into 4 columns. Weekly, Quarterly, Someday and 2-10 minute tasks. Once a week, i do a review of my previous week and update all 4 columns in Evernote. Then I print a 7 day schedule that has each day of the week’s hours from 6am to 11pm and fill it up with my weekly tasks. The column with 2-10 minute tasks are tasks that I try do immediately so that column usually stays empty. Whenever a new todo or idea pops into my head, I categorize it into 1 of the four columns and forget about it until I do my weekly review. Also at the end of my day, I do a quick 5 minute assessment and adjust whatever needs to be rescheduled in case something unexpected happens. This system really helps to declutter my mind and stay focused.
Best way to call UK clients from Thailand?
Cheapest way to cold call/contact clients from Thailand? any ideas?

Just use a VoIP service. There’s a ton a companies that offer this. Do a Google search and find a provider. Make sure to pick one that offers a flat monthly fee. If there charging for international calls, then don’t go with them.
