In the past I read the book and watch the DVD "Internal Mixing" from Friedemann Tischmeyer, a german author and master-engneer. http://www.tischmeyer-mastering.de and he have a company that Name is MAAT https://www.maat.digital/imprint/ they are also in Hamburg and there was in May a Fix The Mix, that was supported by MAAT. So I got a mail from them, so I registered for that and Caleb was talking about the school Community, so I got in here. I'm really surprised about the community.

I finally got something I'm proud of on this challenge. See if you like my wet handling of the lead vocal and I'ts placement and blend with the harmonies. I spent a lot more time but was intentional about my moves. It's still a little low in overall volume but I did limit and add eq on the master bus out. I would like to do a shout out to Jake and the Fix the Mix educators. I attended about 4-5 of the 3 day sessions over the past 6 months while simultaneously taking multiple other ( competitors to your program, sorry) courses on Logic, mixing, mastering, etc. I am recently retired and fulfilling my previously squelched desire to make and learn music during a crazy, busy career. I am not a great vocalist ( yea Flexpitch ) but felt I needed to do this project myself. It was created with audio -only in mind and the video was an after thought (also a new endeavor). I just posted this yesterday. I encourage you , if time , to experience it a second time WITHOUT the video. With headphones on, if I did my mix and lyric-writing correctly, although you won’t be able to “unsee” some of the video images I used, I hope your ears, mind, memories and imagination will take you to an amazing place. You may even pick out an arpeggiated harp or distant clarinet. As Jake says, “better to be felt and not heard”. The final chorus shows some of the 156 tracks in project. To put in perspective: I first attempted mixing on GarageBand in 2021.
