BIG Learn Microsoft Fabric Community Updates for September onwards
Hey everyone - how was your summer?! We are BACK with a bang (after a well-earned break), we're going to be ramping it up a few levels in September (and beyond). To reiterate: the goal of this community is to provide a free resource that helps YOU stay up-to-date with Microsoft Fabric, make sense of the chaos/ updates/ features, ultimately to advance your career. AND, to support this goal (and you), I'm delighted to announce the following major improvements to this community for September onwards: 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀: We're fortunate to have two new team members join the Community Management team: - @Yael Bernstein (Community Lead) - Yael will help with all things Community! Helping you get onboarded, answering queries, and ensuring the Community continues to be a fun and valuable resource for all our members! - @Sambhav R (Tech Lead) - Sambhav knows a LOT about Fabric, and the pitfalls of implementing it in enterprise environments, he'll provide another perspective on technical queries that pop up in the community! - Will - no change here, I'll still be here, just with more support now 😀 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀/ 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀: - 13 Sept - Fabric Monthly Updates & Catch - we've added a regular monthly live call! This will be a cross-community call to talk through the latest product updates, and updates from Fabric Dojo and LMF Communities, and the YouTube channel. - If you're looking for more live events - I recommend joining Fabric Dojo, as we have 6 live events planned for September, including an in-person meetup at FabCon Vienna, Fabric Architecture Review session, Q&A Session, Mastermind! 𝗙𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗗𝗼𝗷𝗼 𝘂𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀: Speaking of which... Fabric Dojo is our second community here on Skool - built specifically to accelerate your learning journey in Fabric Data Engineering & Analytics Engineering. It's where I spend most of my time helping our members!

You are doing amazing job Will ! 👌👏🏻 Congratulations @Yael Bernstein and @Sambhav R 🥳
Cleared DP 600 in first attempt!!
Hello All, I cleared my certification in Fabric in the first attempt. I have almost 2 years of experience in Fabric for Data Engineering. I followed Will’s course 6h video on YouTube for preparation. It covers most of the things asked in Fabric DP 600 However you need to also be familiar with KQL, DAX measures in depth. To prepare for this most apt reference is Microsoft Learn. All the best to all the prospective exam candidates

Congratulations, well done ! 😁🥳
Kusto detective agency
I am sharing nice way to learn KQL with you 😁 https://detective.kusto.io/ What is it? Kusto Detective Agency (KDA) is an interactive, gamified learning platform powered by Microsoft’s Azure Data Explorer (also known as Kusto). It presents a series of engaging data investigation challenges—think of solving mysteries, but using real datasets and Kusto Query Language (KQL) instead of clues and suspects . How is it used? Participants use KQL to analyze various datasets and uncover insights. Each case requires crafting queries to extract, filter, aggregate, and interpret data—effectively practicing real-world data querying tasks in a problem-solving context . What are the benefits? It’s a fun and immersive way to: - Practice and strengthen skills in Kusto Query Language (KQL) - Gain practical experience in data exploration and analytics - Engage with real data scenarios in a learning-by-doing format
🚀 Just Started My DP-700 Certification Journey! Looking for Tips & Guidance from the Community 🙌
Hi everyone! 👋 I’m excited to share that I’ve recently started my journey toward earning the DP-700: Microsoft Certified Fabric Data Engineer Associate certification! 🎯 As someone passionate about data engineering and analytics, I’m really looking forward to deepening my understanding of Microsoft Fabric and all the amazing capabilities it offers — from Lakehouses to Dataflows, Pipelines, Notebooks, and beyond. I’ve just begun going through the learning path, and I’d love to hear from those of you who have already taken or are also preparing for the DP-700 exam: - What study resources or learning strategies helped you the most? - Any specific modules or topics I should focus on more? - Common mistakes or tricky areas to watch out for? - Practice exams or labs you’d recommend? I’d be super grateful for any tips, tricks, or insights you can share. 🙏 Also happy to connect with anyone else preparing for this — let’s support each other along the way! Thanks in advance, and I’m really looking forward to learning and growing with this amazing community! 💙 #DP700 #MicrosoftFabric #DataEngineer #CertificationJourney #LearningTogether

I'm Hiring: Community Manager (UPDATE: closed for new applicants)
UPDATE: Closed for new applications, as per timeline shared in Pinned post. Thanks to those that applied. Will update you all soon. TLDR: I'm hiring a Community Manager for this Learn Microsoft Fabric community, here on Skool. Read more, and Apply on Upwork here: https://www.upwork.com/jobs/~021952446450209029081 In the last 12 months, we've grown both this community and the Fabric Dojo community considerably - and it's become difficult to manage both communities on my own, and develop them both to reach their full potential. So, I'm hiring a Community Manager to help manage this community. Key Responsibilities: - Manage daily community engagement by following and scheduling regular posts (weekly challenges, wins, content sharing, and support threads). - Welcome new members, review pending membership applications, and maintain a friendly, inclusive atmosphere. - Organize and post monthly updates: leaderboard winners, Dojo updates, shoutouts, and thread summaries. - Identify blockers, celebrate member successes, and highlight valuable resources. - Collaborate with the community owner to evolve posting templates, engagement strategies, and guidelines. - Identify and engage with members who would be a good fit for our paid community (you will receive a commission for any members you sign up to our paid community). Great if you have the following traits/ experience: - Native or Fluent English - Excellent communication (written and verbal) in English, organization, and moderation skills. - Self-motivated, reliable, and able to suggest improvements for engagement and member satisfaction. - Comfortable with light admin work and basic post formatting. - Ideally: experience managing online communities (ideally for tech or learning platforms). - Ideally: hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric - Ideally: passionate about learning, and helping others Some more details about the role:
