I hope that you don't have any of these. The reason for this post is because sometimes we'll miss a limiting belief. This list may help you discover a limiting belief that needs to be dealt with. List of Limiting Beliefs You May Have Money, Career and Abundance I am not successful My success is limited. You need to work hard at creating your reality. Action and effort are the only way you get anywhere in this world. No pain no gain. I don’t use my money wisely I always spend more than I earn. I never have enough money. I’m not smart or creative. Money will solve all of my problems. I’m never going to be a success. You need to work hard to make money. Health, Energy and Body I don’t have a lot of energy and stamina. Sickness and health are out of my control. I am often unhealthy or sick. I am constantly under stress and afraid. I am unfit or overweight. I have no personal power.

@Beth Borchers Thank you Beth. Truly i appreciate you taking the time to respond and remind me… As I love and accept myself, change becomes easy. I can take as much time as I need. And I choose which parts of me to listen to and lead with. I am full of and surrounded by so much love and light. My light scares and excites me the most, a good sign to keep connecting with that part. I am hesitant sometimes to share but your encouragement helps me see theres nothing to fear.

This is great! Considering that you are working with at-risk youth, I hope you also use examples of role models from similar situations that these kids may be experiencing. If you can, work closely with others within their community and ask for their advice if you havent already. Connect them to themsevles but also to existing community and resources, remembering we dont do the work alone. I’m not sure what context theyre coming from but i also find it important to remember the context of the systems that are designed to work against them. Yes, we have the ability to create our own reality AND as we do so, there are experiences that we must recognize arent just challenges by chance or because theres something to work on but bc we live in systems/societies designed to disempower. A lot of youth need to be shown that the challenges they face are not their fault and to feel empowered that they can shape their own future. This workbook and im sure other activities you do with them are going to be very impactful to them. Thank you for the work youre doing!

Coming home....gratitude in every direction
Today was a day I’ll never forget.From 3–5, I attended a phenomenal class that left me energized, inspired, and clear that this is what I want to be doing. Working alongside amazing partners like Jamin Hapell and Sami Broock—and supported by the brilliance and generosity of Kylie Storey—reminded me how powerful this community is. And then—coming home with my husband, Alan. After two intense weeks in the hospital, I know in my bones that the coherence, love, and focus of this SOMA family have been part of his healing. I’ve felt your presence and prayers every step of the way, and I believe they’ve helped carry him back to this moment. It’s going to be a long road, but with the help of this community, we feel safe, loved, and held. I’ll be reaching out to many of you directly to thank you for the ways you’ve shown up for us. This was meant to be.From the class to the connections, to bringing Alan home—it’s all part of one beautiful arc. With a full and grateful heart, monica

The Eye of the Storm is wisdom that speaks without words
There is a kind of knowing that doesn't speak in sentences. It speaks in breath. In stillness. In the space in between one heartbeat and the next. This week, I've been living inside that space. My husband, Alan, is in the hospital. His heart, quite literally. in the care of others. Surgery is scheduled for Thursday morning and life feels like the middle of a storm I can't control. And yet, I showed up to class. Not as someone with answers, but as the quiet center of the swirl. Not from ease , but from trust of something deeper than words--and what's blowing me open--what I'm still trying to name--is how this SOMA work is meeting Alan. I've shared it with him. His body softens, his spirit steadies. The breath becomes the bridge. This work is not just a theory, it's spirit in motion. It's love made audible through the lungs. It's the kind of wisdom that doesn't explain itself--it moves. Today's session was intense. So is life, but I didn't wait for it to get easy. I chose to anchor anyway. To all of you sailing your own invisible seas--I see you and I'm right here with you, in the breath between waves. If you feel moved to send a prayer for Alan, I will hold it close.

Hi Monica, Sending you both love and health. I pray Alan’s surgery goes well and bless the minds and bodies of the doctors/nurses who work with him too. Thank you so much for sharing and beautifully articulating how sacred this journey of life we’re in is. May we all become more deeply connected with the peace within that surpasses understanding and circumstance. I’ve also been reflecting on trusting and giving myself permission to be messy as I try to keep going without depending on my understanding. Some times it’s hard to let go of the thoughts. Yet I try to remember that those moments create a beautiful opportunity for compassion. Compassion comes from the Latin com pati which means “to suffer with”. Not to glorify suffering but to embrace it as a space to be “with” in the depths of one’s experience. To be willing to be present in suffering and not try to fix it. To be human together. Not sure if thats relevant but felt like I should share that bit about compassion. :)

@Monica Davidson Wow, knowing that you shared what I wrote means so much to me. Calling me a graceful writer made my mouth drop because I struggle with writing. Thank you for having faith. I believe you guys will get through this and come out the other side better than before in mind & spirit, hopefully body too.

Comfort Zone vs. Sacred Place — this is a deep and powerful comparison. Though they may feel similar at times, they serve very different purposes in personal growth, healing, and self-awareness. Let’s explore: Comfort Zone - Definition: A psychological space where things feel familiar, safe, and predictable. - Purpose: Offers mental and emotional security; reduces stress and risk. - Downside: If you stay too long, it breeds stagnation, fear of change, and missed opportunities. - Examples: Avoiding public speaking because it makes you nervous. Sticking to a job you dislike because it's stable. - Energy: Passive, resistant to discomfort, often fear-based. “A comfort zone is beautiful, but nothing ever grows there.” Sacred Place - Definition: A physical or internal space where you reconnect with your truth, spirit, and purpose. - Purpose: A sanctuary for renewal, reflection, healing, and transformation. - Upside: Restores your strength before or after growth, helps you align with your higher self. - Examples: A quiet room where you pray or meditate. Time spent in nature, journaling, or doing something that nourishes your soul. - Energy: Intentional, empowering, rooted in self-love and connection. “Your sacred space is where you can find yourself again and again.” – Joseph Campbell 🔻 Key Differences Concept Comfort Zone Passive, stagnant, safety and routine, growth avoided, fear, control familiarity, surrender, numbs the spirit. Sacred Place Energy Intentional, renewing, Purpose, Restoration and spiritual connection Growth, Prepared for and supported Emotions, Love, trust, surrender, Awakens the spirit. 🧭 Powerful Reflection Questions: - Are you resting or hiding? - Is the space you're in protecting your peace or stalling your progress? - Are you avoiding discomfort, or are you in a sacred pause preparing for your next leap? Conclusion:The comfort zone keeps you safe. The sacred place helps you grow strong. The key is knowing when you’re hiding from life… and when you’re honoring your spirit.
