Friend of mine got sober a few years back, took a risk, and started his own business. Definitely on a similar path so I’m sure he’d be down to chat if you need some support / solidarity I guess full disclosure, he is merely the salesman as opposed to a baker - he imports the product and sells it at events/markets. With that said, maybe you guys can collaborate??

Happy Tuesday...Thanks for the Happy Birthday posts a few days ago. I was totally dreading that day...sad etc.... so the posts made me happy! So rather than sit with sadness/anxiety/panic I did plan ahead..so for Saturday.. I had signed up for a 9 mile hike. Walked across Williamsburg bride.....walked across the Roosevelt island Bridge...took the tram back...walked along east river..to wards island and across the Triborough Bridge...the railings are low..the wind took my hat...walk ended in Astoria....I was happy it was long..if anyone does walk across Triborough..be careful of your hat! Everyone have a really nice day. ☘

It ain’t over till it’s over
More promises to myself
In addition to the promise I made to myself of going on 3 long walks a week over 10k steps, I’m going to make another promise of listening to my body more acutely and honestly when it comes to food. This means only eating when I’m hungry, stopping when I’m 70% full, staying away from sugar as much as possible, and paying more attention to emotional eating. I’m on day 2 of this and feeling good.

You can do it. I’ve also made a promise to myself to exercise 3 times per week for a minimum of 1 hour and so far I’ve yet to make good on that- I still have time to change that and your post was a good reminder. Also, the mega-long walk is such an underrated activity. Gets the brain juices flowing, great opportunity to listen to a full podcast, audiobook, double album, phone call, etc.
