Goose said "Write this down" (starting a new business)
It's from the call with @Goose Dunlavey yesterday. [link is here] Topic here was about opening/starting a new thing without making it too complicated. BETA CLIENT PROGRAM (don't call it this with clients, BTW!) - People are stupid. We are people. We don't know what we need! - The things that SELL are health wealth and love --> we can sell this and then deliver another result that the person needs to get there and/or have another METHOD (like -- maybe you need to meditate make money but make the sales info about the money and the method is meditation, know what I mean?) - Hierarchy -- Here's your RESULT. This is on the front page with a couple pics. If this takes you more than 20 minutes, you're overthinking it. - CALLS are the most important thing. At least one per week. When you're getting started, a lot of us want to make an earth-shatteringly good course. But then you wind up cornering yourself, and no one gets the benefit of your time, so this remedies that. 1/ Reach out to 5-10 people. - Someone who can make a Skool profile and jump on. - "Hey! I'm going to do this thing that helps you with xyz in x# of days" (3-7 days) - Tell them that this should cost $x, but I'll give it to you for free if you give me a testimonial at the end if it's good and you get the results. - Make sure they know "I need you to be committed!" - From there, ONE activation point (quick win) 2/ Now do the thing for 7 days. (or... if you prefer... 6-7 days π©π
) - You don't have an agenda now. You have 7 days together. - On 6th or 7th day, "ask what has changed in your life?" - Give away for free. In the classroom. 3/ LET'S GOOO! - NOW you have the testimonials and have the confidence. - So now you can keep running with it, know what you'll do in your weekly classes. - If you're taking longer than a week, you get your head outta your ass We all need to get comfortable with pre-selling a thing before it exists. Decide what it will cost. Sell it beforehand. Build it together.
