Security vs Delivery - How wild is it out there?
Very simple question for those who are actually building for business owners out there - How much is actual security and governance being ACTIVELY encouraged and considered a priority vs simply delivering the project ASAP. It feels like (looking from the outside as an ex-Systems Engineer) that many, many business owners are going greedy, in that they are expecting silly fast results for AI projects which has typically meant that data and app security takes a backseat to just shipping rapidly. Those building for business owners - are you worrying about security practices? Business owners getting help in - are you preferring results first before security?

@Theresa Elliott Huge gap! Might be a slow burner now to sell maintenance and lifecycle products, but it'll come to a head sometime and then be necessary. These businesses haven't had AI products long enough to realise yet.

@George Williams Yeesh, scary. Definitely force an NDA in, just to protect yourself.

@Paolo Furesi This is what AI really enables, you can "hire" an AI employee quickly and you can create workflows for your processes and turn them into systems.

@Paolo Furesi My first method is not to use Claude - simply because it's just killing me cost-wise while I'm tinkering. GPT is a lot better bang for buck in general at this moment, outside of front-end design. But tbh it's a case of having to invest in it if you want to get the most out of it. So it's about figuring out use cases you can get an ROI on, then spending on the development cost (tokens) to make it a reality. That's really the hardest part, finding the right "job" to do with the power you have at your fingertips.
Hyped to build my AI OS
Thanks @Nate Herk for the incredible breakdown on the AI Operating System. I'm fired up and ready to implement this. Trying to hit Level 3 to unlock the full course modules. Drop a comment if you've already started building yours, would love to hear your experience!

Cannot wait to hit lvl3 myself :), I'm looking forward to seeing how Nate did his thing and his framework.
Seeking Advice and Support From This Amazing Community
Hi everyone! ๐Ÿ‘‹ First of all, itโ€™s honestly amazing that I can finally post here now. ๐Ÿ˜„ Huge thanks to @Nate Herk and to all the moderators for building such an awesome community. Iโ€™ve been quietly learning a lot from everyone here even from a short span of time and it really inspired me to dive deeper into AI automation. Iโ€™m from the Philippines and currently a visiting instructor teaching college students in the IT Department of a State University. Right now, Iโ€™m trying to improve my skills in AI automation, look for opportunities and clients, and hopefully make this part of my long-term career path while also helping students learn and explore AI. I also wanted to ask the community โ€” are there any important things I should know, learn, or avoid before fully getting into AI automation? Any advice, roadmap, tools, or lessons from your own experiences would really mean a lot. ๐Ÿ™ Also still grinding to reach Level 3 since I only need 22 more points to unlock the โ€œBuild your AI OS.โ€ Thank you so much everyone and wishing you all a great day! ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ

I'll echo what @Mofedul Alam Joy said - learn one tool at a time. You will want to go broad because every day you drink from the firehose that is AI learning you find the "next big thing" or the latest update to an alternative tool promises "insane" level ups. In the end, you want to have some depth with a core set of tools first, then broaden. Same as in any vertical, but it is ridiculously easy to forget that in this one.
Icebreaker
How are you using AI in your own business or day-to-day life? What AI projects are you working on right now?

I've been going a different direction, rather than building out my business processes to increase profit or reduce costs, I've been building solutions for my personal time to remove friction and wasted time there, thereby giving me more mental bandwidth and time to focus on the business. Once I've got my personal life shining (bye bye wasted time thinking about weekly meal plans, ingredient lists, calorie counting, shopping lists, ordering... now all automated after providing a selection of meals and recipes I like!) I can then use all that extra brainpower and time to accelerate the business itself whilst improving work/life balance!
