🔥 Proving myself right 🔥
I’ll be honest, I really didn’t feel like running today. I almost talked myself out of it. But I laced up anyway, and I’m so glad I did. That run completely turned my day around. I ended it standing by the sea, taking in the most stunning evening view. Moments like this remind me why it’s worth pushing through the days when motivation is low… because the reward is always greater than the effort. 🌅🏃‍♂️✨ Did anyone else surprise themselves by showing up today?

Running Trainers 🏃💨
Over the years, I’ve tried so many running shoes. Some were perfect for long runs but awful for intervals. Others were great for speed work but fell short on endurance. And let’s be honest… some were just plain ugly 😂 I just picked up a pair of Adidas Adizero Evo SL runners, and after only one run, I’m seriously impressed. They feel light, comfy, responsive, and like a true all-rounder. I’ve got a speed session tomorrow, so we’ll see how they hold up but so far, I’m loving them. Plus, they actually look good, they’re reasonably priced, and I keep hearing they last a long time too. I’m always curious what’s your go-to running shoe? I’d love to hear what’s been working for you, especially if you’ve found that perfect “do-it-all” pair. Love this mate, I’m currently using the Hoka carbons and love them for tempo runs / long runs but will give these a look But the way these look 10/10 🔥

Yeah, the tread goes on them quickly but maybe it’s because I’m doing lower KM then you a week that they last longer! But I had a pair of Hoka ones and they were so wide for my feet So little advice for people looking for shoes might be worth going in to a running shop and trying them on because purchase as everyone’s feet is different

🥳 🏅 FURTHEST, FASTEST RUN: EVER 🏃‍♂️ 🙌
On Sunday I achieved a lifetime first! I’m still in shock, and it’s Wednesday! It might not sound like much, but when i was younger i was told i might not be able to walk when i was 40…. Let alone set a Personal Best in a half marathon. Guernsey, Half Marathon, 1:55:49, in pretty decent conditions (the weather forecast in the lead up was shocking). my focus was on pacing and fuelling. Simon helped me smash both. Every kilometre got faster and easier. The last 1.5km was an (easy?!) sprint. It felt good. (I think i even enjoyed it - i might delete this line later) Rock on the London Marathon in April. Sub 4hr! Here we come . 🤞
