Full Circle Moments…
I recently went back to visit the last two hostels I stayed in during some of the hardest chapter of my life. I hadn’t been back in years but something in me needed to return. One of them had residents who’d been there over 10 years and they were gone and I remember praying and hoping they are ok. I remember how they used to tell me I’d be great at support work… but all I did was listen, show love, and be present all the time looking back now it was healing me. Back then, I had no idea what coaching was. No idea I’d one day be building a life around helping others move forward. But going back… it stirred something deep. The other hostel held around 50 people Still, I stood there and knew with full clarity I would either fill those spaces with purpose again or find another way to return and serve the people behind those doors. These streets shaped me. The trauma, the pain, the survival… but also the resilience, the rawness, and the heart. To be back now no longer stuck in survival, but building a mission from it feeling so blessed numerous times I could of died. This is what it means to give back. To turn your story into service. And I’m just getting started...

It is so true.. I have lived a life I didn't choose due to the environments I was in and the teachings I was taught having parents that have there own tramas they haven't healed from was not easy growing up but now I am on the journey of self discovery and been born again, all environments I am in are either healing me or getting me to a place I want to be and being around like minded people ❤️

From homelessness and prison to purpose Changing lives through property
Hi everyone, just wanted to share a little of my journey. I’ve been homeless twice, 1st due to the gang and gun crime in the area were I grew up in Winson Green. I had enough of ducking and diving from people and the police also the gangs, gun and drugs in the area. After a while this lead me to being caught up in street life in order to survive, and this lead me to served time in prison which looking back now was a blessing because it helped me find myself. I’ve seen what it’s like to have nothing, no direction, no safety, no support. The 2nd time was coming out of a long term relationship and my daughter was just born. I ended up in various hostels in Birmingham and Wolverhampton and this experience was so horrible people openly smoking class A drugs, fighting and drinking and staff did not care would rather be on there phone. This made me help others by giving them support and life skills and at the same time gave me healing. But I made a choice to change, and I’ve been rebuilding ever since. My traumas have lead me to find my purpose and now on a Mission to change Lives by Peer and Life coaching people from disadvantaged backgrounds and give people a place called home. Today, I’m at the very start of my property journey. I’ve launched New Life New Journey Housing LTD with a mission to help others who are where I once was homeless, just released, or starting over. We’re starting with Rent-to-Rent HMOs to build cash flow, then moving into lease options and commercial-to-residential conversions so we can scale impact and create real homes for those who need it most. This isn’t just about bricks it’s about hope, dignity, and second chances. If any of this resonates with you, I’d love to connect and collaborate.

@Sally Schofield Thank you🧡
Self reflection!
Always great to look back to go forward!! Identifying things that maybe felt right in the moment but actually had no significant benefit to the journey you are on. Let me know in the comments if you've been in the same boat ❓
