Coming to Skool: AI tools!
The time has come for us to build AI tools for you to use to help you and your results for all things marketing and advertising! I'll be starting in the Genre and Trope Classroom. What you can expect to get help with? Writing Blurbs that Convert Pulling tropes from your books How to use those tropes in: title, blurb, amazon product pages, cover design You'll get: The AI Prompts Worksheets Checklists Plus we'll be building some tools so you input your book description or book file itself to get the answers. Once that classroom is done, I'll hit some of our FB Ad classrooms. This is an exciting time! You can choose to use or not use these tools.

Oh! I'm really looking forward to this! I can write a 140k word novel, but the blurb? Yikes.

Thank you!
My Kickstarter!
A cozy LitRPG fantasy. If you've ever wondered, gee, I wish I could live in this game and only eat pie and drink coffee, this is the cozy fantasy for you. Follow along if you want to see how I manage the Kickstarter! I'll probably do a few videos along the way because I am creating a funnel, and sort of an upside down one, too. Soon I'll do a video breaking down why my KS page is laid out the way it is and how I lean into genre and trope HEAVY to give potential readers the feels I want them to have. Click this link and then the 'follow' button. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/dungeonsanddonuts/dungeons-and-donuts-exclusive-kickstarter-new-release

Your timing on this is perfect for me! I'll definitely be following along. We're in the middle of a move from Georgia to upstate New York, but once we're moved and settled I want to do my first kickstarter! I have 4 series (and I'm working on series 5) in the same universe. I want to do an omnibus for each series and make them beatiful special editions! I can't wait to see how you run yours and best of luck for full funding quickly!
Kindle All Stars
Any Kindle All Stars here? If so, how many page reads did it take to push you over the edge? I’m having a good month (for me) and have over 270, 648 pages read so far this month. Am I in the ball park or still short by about half? I’ve heard the number is closer to 500,000, but really I have no idea. How rare is it for non-romance readers to hit an All Star? ChatGPT tells me 270,647 puts me in the top 1-2 % of indies but that seems unlikely, and ChatGPT lies—a lot.

I had all-star staus on one of my series for months. I don'tthink it had a much to do page reads (I could be wrong) as being a story that "delighted readers" whatever that means. I know authors who were getting more page reads and than I was who were not all-stars. What makes a book an all-star seems to be one of Amazon's many secrets.

@CherAnn Wright That could explain a lot. That series did have really great reviews. Thanks!
New Ads for my own books!
I always talk about how the ads for my books are the last to get any attention, but I decided to schedule time into my calendar as though I were my own client! Here's the swathe I made (all set at $10/day to run for 7 days -- an investment of $1050). Note: I am not anti-AI, and not judging anyone who uses AI. I'm more anti-corporate-AI-monopoly. That being said, AI sentiment is pretty mid at the moment, and I have acres of books that are not touched by AI at all, so why not use that as a marketing angle? We'll see if it yields fruit. I could have also fired up another 10-15 tests as there are a ton of combos I didn't do, plus video games, more TV and movie options, plus more ads aimed at women, but this is already $150/day in testing, lol.
