Feedback on my ARC
I asked a few people to read my book ARC and the feedback I am getting is very humbling and encouraging. I swear to God, I had no idea my words would create such comments. Just wanted to share them here with my book peers. This is VERY exciting... ----------------------------------------------------------------- "Finished the book this past week and it left me wanting more. God obviously gave you a gift and it’s good to see that you have discovered it. I truly believe god gives us all one gift, the key is to figure out what that gift is. In your case writing and storytelling seams to come easy so enjoy the path god has laid out for you. Best of luck with the book!" "Roger is a model of inspiration and wisdom. Anyone wanting to improve their business and their lives needs to read this book." "What you've done is what most don’t dare to do. You turned the honest, unfiltered version of building a business into a teaching tool. The story about the plumber and the muddy footprints will resonate with every dealer, installer, and workroom owner who's ever lost a client and couldn't figure out why. Not because it's dramatic, but because it's painfully ordinary, and we've all either been that plumber or hired one. Specifically, about your voice: the choice to write the way you actually talk, the rhythm, the humor, the way a Brazilian-Bostonian sees the world, is not a limitation but the whole point. The foreword says it, your introduction says it, and then the book proves it chapter after chapter. Your readers aren't connecting with you despite your voice. They're connecting because of it." "As I read through, it was like reading every one of your newsletters I’ve enjoyed over the years. I found myself nodding in agreement, laughing out loud, sometimes tearing up, and even a few “oh my Gods” thrown in there. And I didn’t realize congratulations were in order for your very prestigious award! It will be interesting to see how it is received in the business world. Quite honestly, the points you drive home should be used in our WHOLE world, not solely the business world. You are a truly remarkable human being and it’s been an honor to be invited to see this work come to fruition."

Congratulations now how are you gonna use this information to improve the book and improve your marketing? What is the next step based on this information?
Categories and Keywords
Categories and keywords: Someone in a FB authors group insists that you MUST have the same categories and keywords for your print version and eBook version. Is that true??? He says it's because Amazon may not link them if you don't, and then reviews will be spit, etc.

First rule, Julia is always right. Second rule of fight club always be updating changing rotating your keywords and Meta data as well as your book description/sales copy. Make sure your current on what's trending in language as it relates to your book or recent best sellers that are being talked about and make sure you're aligning with that.
Book launch advice
This is a new world for me as it is for some of you. I am planning to launch my children's book in the middle of July. I have been working on social media and it is exhausting! Everyday gets better though. Do you have any advice of certain elements to have in a book launch?

Explain to me the timeline of launching in July. It would seem that most events have already been scheduled and booked to your audience. Parents teachers libraries are already overwhelmed with limited hours. And speaking personally I don't think I could schedule a bathroom break let alone visit a book signing or book reading between now and the start of school. So I would have to figure out one if the book has a theme and if there's a season that theme plays better into to the budget of the places that I want to be seen at libraries schools, private versus public events/gatherings and win that budget is set and who I need to speak to about getting into that budget calendar. Build the momentum that you want to sustain after the book is available for sale. Don't think of your book launch as an event think of it as a milestone and a bigger journey.
Sarah Bean, is the BOMB
Sat in on her class A Post-Funnel Approach to Book Marketing (with AI) at IBPA PubU and I can only say she rocked the room and drop the mic and left the audience wanting more

@Julie Broad Now I may have to take a few of those bomb points back as I'm looking at the event website and I'm not seeing the recording and notes from the workshop as promised, nudge, nudge, hint hint

@Gary Anderson I promise you, Gary, you will not be disappointed that woman has knowledge packed in her suitcase, her purse, her carry-on, her back pocket and the swag bag they gave away at the reception desk
How many books have you sold?
Not trying to put anyone on the spot. Just trying to have a realistic expectation when my book launches. You don't need to be precise with your numbers. A range is fine: less than 100, more than 500, over a million....and how long ago have you launched? Lastly, what advise would you give based on your experience to someone about to launch his first book? Thanks so much.

If you're not allowed to judge a book by its cover, then I think you should also not judge a books success by the number of sales. I will see where authors say they've sold 1000 copies and have four reviews on Amazon or vice versa they may be sold 100 books have 90 emails 80 coaching clients and 60 gigs lined up. It book sales are what you want chase book sales if impact is what you want chase contacts and engagement and at the end of the day remember Amazon doesn't report the number of sales nor who bought the books so in Amazon best seller doesn't equate to high sales..

I was the kid who flunked kindergarten for not grasping “words,” I’ve since built a career helping authors use them to change the world
